Guest guest
2/11/09 And they came pouring down – showers of grace, of love, of nectar. I’ve been waiting for a moment like this for a while now – a moment when I can feel Him so intensely – it finally came with a song – Madhurashtakam. Adharam Madhuram, Vadanam Madhuram Nayanam Madhuram, Hasitam Madhuram Oh, oh, oh, how can I explain the ecstasy of singing it, feeling each word in my heart, each precious sentence! The first word alone sends raptures through me – His lips – so divine! His face – so sublime! His eyes – oh my, His eyes – the whole song could have been about His eyes! And His smile – it melts the universe. And that’s just the first line. Tears pour out of my eyes, and my heart is overwhelmed with love and sweetness. For some reason lately, I’ve been thinking of looking up this song, but haven’t gotten around to it. A Sai devotee on this newsgroup [sri B. Chandra Sekar: Thank you!] sent out this song today, and what a sweet surprise! It felt like the Lord couldn’t wait for me to look it up, He sent it to me Himself. I wrote it down right away, and then started singing it, over and over again – I couldn’t stop. Eight stanzas of pure praise – Gamanam Madhuram, Vachanam Madhuram Chalitam Madhuram, Paadam Madhuram Of His delicate gait, of His soft speech, of His graceful movements, of His lotus petal like feet. Nrithyam Madhuram, Renur Madhuram Geetham Madhuram, Roopam Madhuram His cosmic dance, the dust of His feet, His soulful song, His whole entire form. I feel like I’ve been dipped and drenched into ambrosia and I never want to come out! Phalitam Madhuram, Haranam Madhuram Leela Madhuram, Bhuktham Madhuram When He jokes it’s sweet, when He thieves my heart it’s sweet, when He plays it’s sweet, when He eats it’s sweet. No wonder I’m so in love with Him. Me and the rest of the world! Sai Ram and Love, Sai_sravanthi_999 Note: These are just a few lines I have plucked out of the full song - I have taken liberties with the placement and with some of the words.
