The point we are missing is that HE WILL GIVE WHATEVER IS REQUIRED TO ANYONE ONLY AT THE RIGHT TIME (ALL IN HIS TIME NOT OURS). WHEN NEEDED IT WILL BE GIVEN. We should avoid comparison trips, coming to those who sit in verandah at their assigned places, there are many even there and He talks / grants pada namaskar to only a few on any day, I am sure you would have noticed this. I know some people who sit in verandah, with whom SWAMI has not spoken or granted a pada namaskar for more than a decade. What we need to do is to introspect where we are going wrong in living (really) by HIS teachings, becoming good human beings, caring for others less privileged or suffering etc . and continue our sadhana and prayers for being accepted as HIS true devotees. Once we see HIM residing in ourselves and also in everyone else / everything else at the same time, I suppose the yearning for all that will vanish. It is very tough road ahead in our spiritual path, we must continue our journey, pick ourselves up when we trip and fall, take another step forward. Dear Partha, you are not only a Sai priyudu but also a Krishna priyudu, your name suggests that, it is HIM that prompted your parents to name you so when you arrived on this earth. AUM SRI SAI RAM!! Dear Sai Brother Parthasarathy Raja Gopal, I pray that Swami Bless you and all of us with all happiness in life and greater realisation of the higher self! Till date, in the past several years, I have not responded to any postings on this Groups or any simlar Groups, because, most of them are either personal or repetitive. I am responding to your posting only because you seem to express the feelings of a devout Sai Bhaktha and a reflection of several hundreds of thousands of Devotees' who throng Prasanthi Nilayam and gather in the most hallowed precincts of the Holy Sai Kulwant Hall. At the same time, the thoghts are to be shaped in a positive way. But, My dear Brother, I understand that you have a greater yearning for Bhagawan's Grace, as do the inneumerable devotees all over the world. Your feelings, in all earnestness may appear to be true to the majority of devotees. But can we judge Bhagawan's infinite Love, Care & Grace for each and every one of HIS children? I sincerely appeal to you to just reminisce on your words in a more broader and higher perspective. If my explanation can be of any use to you and the others who think alike, I Pray Swami to Bless us all with Proper thinking in the right perspective and with proper information and knowledge of how things happen in the hallowed presence of our Divine Father! Those people who sit in the Verndah of Prasanthi Nilayam are those who are not just permitted to sit there by virtue of their social positions or their economic status. Many of them are given the responsibility of reporting to Swamy or to interact with Swami from time to time on the various responsibilities delegated to them. Many of them are office bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, the Doctors from the various Hospitals of Swami, the Govt and Private Officials who have to report to Swami on the progress of various projects being executed under the Central Trust, the Old Devotees who have had served HIM for several long years, those who are invited by HIM for specific purposes and whom HE utilizes as proper instruments to work in HIS Mission and also those who are called upon by HIM or those who, by the call of the State & National Protocol which Bhagawan meticulously follows as the most Ideal Citizen of the Land and also as a perfect Host who follows all protocol of the highest order in honouring the Guests and such others. Yes, there may be some, who may mistakenly feel that they were given the good Godly chance bu virtue of any of their status in the society. It is their sheer ignorance and folly to exhibit such blessings as previliges. It also reflects their forgetfulness of the equality of the infinite love of the Divine Mother to all HER Children, but, may be apparently, some children who are lame & blind who may need more attention in view of their handicaps (either in their life styles or in their life values). Dear Brother Parthasarathy, Also, let us remember that, more often than not, Swami hardly take notice or even throw a glance at those sitting in the verendah unless HE has a purpose to interact with them. On the other hand, HE knows and acknowledges each and every one of us waiting hours together just to take a place in Sai Kulwant Hall both in the early hours and in the mid-noon Red Hot Sun. That is the time we are all bestowed with the remembrance of the Lord and to know that our Mother knows about us more than we do. Unforrtunately, the exhibitionist attitudes of some of the fortunate (ignorant) lot, may cause jealousy or envy in the other Spiritual Aspirants. That is why Swami shuns any publicity or self aggrandisement. Your posting appeared to me more as a self- introspective than a critical and hence I am prompted to respond to your posting, so that several others like us may also introspect as to why this apparently differntial treatment? Krishna always likes Kuchela (Sudama), Vidura rather than HIS Royal Family Members / relations. Jesus loved the poor and commom man than HE loved any rich or famous one. Busha Lived a life of recluse and Mandicant, leaving the luxuries of the Royal Palace. Rama Loved Guha and Jatayu and redeemed them. In the Divine Glory of the Lord of the Golden Era Bhagawan Baba, it is for us to behold and lost in the Divine Leelas of the Lord in making a rich man a good one, a business man a philanthropist, a scientist into a loving social scientist, a greedy doctor into a service minded one, a poitician into a social servant, and the rulers of the World into a clan of more purposeful and meaningful committed workers for the good of the world. To whom much is given, much more is demanded from them also, in the form of Devotion, Dediction & Divinization of the mundane worldly activities. I only mean to reflect on the Divine Leelas in the Glorious Mission of the Avathar, rather than a routine Religious place, where the social and economic sisparities are more rampant. I beg your pardon if I have hurt your feelings through this reply. I shall be happy if you may be pleased to feel assuaged of your feelings of hurt which you expressed in your posting. JAI SAI RAM! MUDUNURU. VIDYA SEKHAR. TORONTO 10122007 ---------- Jatindar Shad <egreatindia Mon Dec 10, 2007 10:59 pm Re: [saibabanews] Am I jealous or I am yearning for Swami Sai Ram All, Our friend, whose mail is below, has raised questions - like a new comer in any place. Let me address the questions raised by our friend: 1. Varanda People 2. Discrimination in sai centers 1. Varanda People. Those who are doing Swami work or working in any of Swamis many projects or have toiled and laboured to become an author of a book or books on their experience with Baba or doing some selfless service in any part of the world - all these people are there in the Veranda. Even in veranda Swami descides who will have interview. Then there are some who have become fully immersed in His Omnipresence - they come and sit anywhere - if they find a place in the 100 row it is same if they are sitting in the 1 row - they see Swami in all around them. It is only the agitated and igonarant who wants to count blessing on the line status - the lesser the line number the more the blessings. Do you know my friend - there are in every plane a group of people called pilot, co-pilot and flight engineer - they sit in the up front area of the plane called cockpit. You may take a flight in first class, but you will not be permitted into the cockpit. The cockpit is like the Verandah - special people. 2. DISCRIMINATION: In our nature discrimination is there and it has to be over come by spiritual discipline. My friend you have not been blessed with a voice to lead a bhajan - but no one has snatched the right from you to follow each bahjan in whatever voice you have. So do not lament. Swami says there are more devotees in followers and less in Bhajan leaders. What is in abundance the user will select the best - that is the rule - it is not discrimination. With the help of internet and many sites on Swami's teachings, many spiritual youngesters start using the cut and paste to send daily messages and then they raise some basic questions - I dont contribute to devotees taking swamis teachings from any site and start sending daily message - that cut and paste in not granting you any wisdom - read and dwell on these golden words and then add your own experience to it - that is value addition. Whether you stay for three hours or thirty hours is immaterial, when you get HIS Darshan. Whether you are in " rich and famous row " or in 30th row is immaterial, when you believe HE knows all and shall Bless All without any partiality. Why do we go to PN? To have HIS Darshan. To pray for welfare of your family, and others, whom you want to lead a pious and comfortable life. If that be the aim, why to get involved in such comparison and finding fault with the system being made to control the crowd and make them have Darshan in an orderly manner? (Just imagine if what happened in the Airport few months back had to get repeated at Sai Kulwant Hall everyday?) If at all you feel that HIS pada namaskar is so important to your heart, just bend your head on the Photo kept at your Puja room in your house and close your eyes; I am sure you will feel the same tenderness of the feet of His Lord there itself. Let us not tune our mind to such discrimination; HE is for everyone and HE will ensure all HIS devotees are looked after and cared for.. Anin Kumar and the following is his answer. Please check following link for details. http://www.saiwisdom.com/anilk-q%26a/ You can find answers by clicking link question and answer. Your question on Am I jealous or I am yearning for swami. I would like you to quote verse from Vivekachoodamani by Adi sankarar. Medhaavii purushho vidvaanuhaapohavichakshaNaH . adhikaaryaatmavidyaayaamuktalakshaNalakshitaH An intelligent and learned man skilled in arguing in favour of the Scriptures and in refuting counter-arguments against them – one who has got the above characteristics is the fit recipient of the knowledge of the Atman. You are certainly a recipent of swami's love. THOSE IN THE FRONT ROWS ARE THERE FOR OFFICIAL PURPOSES I would like to draw your attention to a naked truth. The officials, the staff members or doctors are heads of different wings in the ashram. Whosoever sits in the front, they don't sit comfortably. Please watch them. They are not sitting comfortably. You don't find them relaxed. Why? Swami may call anybody and bang them heavily. Blast them heavily! Yes! " Where are you? Come here! Ever since you joined the college, you have spoiled the college. " Would you like to take my place? (Laughter) " Come here. You brought a bad name to the hospital. I have been watching you and you are not mending your ways. " Heavy blasting! Would you like to take the doctor's role? No. He will call some principal or head of the department and say, " There are more failures ever since you have come here. " (Laughter) Would you like to have it? And then He will call some head and say, " You are shouting there. That is not good. You fellows, who are heads here, are behaving like Pomeranians, bulldogs and Alsatians! " He said openly on the dais, " You fellows are behaving like Alsatians, bulldogs, Pomeranians. You don't mend your ways! " That's what He said openly. It's on the record! In public, He said it. So would you like to follow the same? (Laughter) Please tell me. And not only that, suppose He wants to give some instructions to the college principal. If he sits in the fiftieth row, should He wait until he comes forward? If He wants to give some instructions to office people or hospital people, should He search for them? Should He locate them? Most of the people are there for official purposes; most of the time, to stand corrected. They have to be ready to be banged anytime, and heavily. Regards, Karuna Australia ---------- " Sai Sandesh " <saisandesh Tue Dec 11, 2007 4:11 am Re: [saibabanews] Am I jealous or I am yearning for Swami Sairam brother, The same question was posed to our beloved Anil Kumar Sir during one of the Sunday Satsangs that take place in Prasanthi on the first floor of North Indian Canteen. I am copy pasting below what he answered. At Prashanti Nilayam, when people gather for darshan, almost all blocks are reserved, either for VIPs, students, ex-students, special foreigners, old people, etc., and hardly one block is left for the general public. People coming from far off places, with so many difficulties, hardly even get to see Swami properly. Is it not unfair to reserve these blocks always for VIP people, students etc., who also get easy darshan, sparshan, and sambharshan on a regular basis? (311005) Yes. To speak from the point of view that this gentleman has expressed, it is a very genuine question. Coming from a long distance, with lots and lots of expectations, when all the front rows are reserved by people for various reasons, naturally we will feel very annoyed. We will be very angry about it. It is quite natural to feel so. BHAGAVAN IS THE ONLY TOPIC OF CONVERSATION WITH DEVOTEES I request you to look at the other side of the coin, dispassionately. I am not supporting anybody. Even in my wildest dreams, I never feel that I am special. Up to this day, I have never felt that I am special. No! On the other hand, I feel very happy to be amongst all my friends, to feel that I am a common man, that I am ordinary. That is my genuine feeling now (because I cannot give a guarantee for the future)! I feel very happy when I feel that I am ordinary. I feel very happy when I am a common man. And I think of those days, sitting in the fourteenth row, fifteenth row, talking with other devotees, sharing Swami's experiences and His messages on the 'Golden Era'. The so-called preferential treatment, the so-called VIP line, the so- called first line has not given me as much happiness as I had in the past. In the past, when I was just sitting in the twentieth or twenty- fifth row, the only topic of talk while sitting in the company of devotees was about Bhagavan only. No other talk. People spoke of Bhagavan only. THE WEARER KNOWS WHERE THE SHOE PINCHES Those people sitting in the front row have got certain preferences, certain personal agenda. Each one might have a letter of request, a letter of prayer or at least a letter of complaint. Therefore, it is not such a beautiful thing to be seated in the front row. You find more comparison and more competition among those who are seated in the front row. If a person always sits in the front row, when he finds that seat occupied by someone else, you will see how disturbed he is, though he has been here for the last twenty-five years. He is the only one sitting there right from the inception of Prashanti Nilayam. Poor man! People may leave their property, their relations and their position, but they hold on to the 'Cuddapah slab', the stone on which they sit. It is a pity, a real pity! This is something to be sympathised with and even pitied. There is nothing to feel envious or jealous about. That kind of holding on to a particular seat, 'Only I should sit here', is irreligious and non- spiritual, by any standard. No one can defend it. Even if someone defends it, you can tell him straight-away, " You sit by my side in the fifteenth row and you will understand the beauty of it. " The wearer knows where the shoe pinches. I certainly understand. TRUTH IS ALWAYS BITTER There is another thing with the Divine Master. This is something which I am not able to digest until today. Something goes wrong with you, but I will get the heavy blast. I don't understand why! (Laughter) He will blast me heavily. I don't understand why! After Arathi, I will come to know that the culprit is some other fellow. (Laughter) It is very difficult to digest that. Truth is always bitter. When one student is irregular, all the other fellows will get it -- a mouthful! It is very difficult to accept. If something wrong happens elsewhere, you get a heavy blast! How are you accountable? And when this question was put to Swami, Bhagavan said, " One mosquito may bite you, but you will kill all the mosquitoes in the room. After all, only one mosquito bites you; why should you kill all the mosquitoes? " That is the law (Laughter) of our God right now. We are all mosquitoes in His hands! He has got enough spray. (Laughter) Oh yes! (Laughter) Those who sit in the front, they are more accountable, more responsible. They are on official duties. There is nothing special about it. GOD'S UNSEEN HAND IS EXPERIENCED WHEN WE FEEL NEGLECTED Before I go to the next question, I should tell you the truth of truths. For seven years, I was always getting fifteenth row or twentieth row, more often it was the thirtieth row, or something like that. During those seven years, I had many beautiful experiences which were never repeated. That period of silence, that period when I was totally ignored, God granted me many, many beautiful experiences. I will tell you about these later. During that period, I also had some accomplishments and achievements in my life which I never had in the later period. So, God's unseen hand is present when we feel we are neglected. This is also true at the family level. When there is a small tiff in the family, when a husband fights with his wife or a wife fights with her husband, whatever it may be, they will be thinking more of each other than before! (Laughter) ENJOY THE DIVINE ROMANCE This is the Divine romance. If we get used to the Divine romance, we will enjoy it. Of course, it can be a painful enjoyment, sometimes a miserable pleasure, if I can put it that way. Yet, when you think about those past years, you will smile and enjoy. What a lot of fun it has been! Once the children are away from us, they think of us more than when they were with us. When you are away from your family, you think of your wife right from breakfast time. When you are there with your family, it follows a mechanical routine. So Swami's outward silence, apparently neglecting us, is establishing a wider, thicker contact than otherwise. SWAMI IS ALWAYS THINKING OF US The bottom line is this: Those who are called for interviews, the VIPs, the ministers or President of India, whomsoever it may be, Swami talks about us only. Take it from me; this occurs with the President of India, the Prime Minister or whoever it may be. " You see My devotees are waiting. They are My devotees. They sit far behind, but they always think of Me. They stay under the trees and they bear all kinds of inconveniences. They are My true devotees. " Swami speaks about us only to those people who are called for an interview. What more do we want? We are the subject of discussion inside! On the outside, we feel that we are neglected, but inside we are V-V-VIPs! There is no doubt about it. This has happened a million times. I can tell you out of my own experience. Once it happened like this: " Has prasadam been distributed? " That was the question from Swami. Then I said, " Swami, Yes, yes. " Keep quiet! I am not speaking of you fellows seated in the front row. I am speaking of those who are sitting there (in the back). Have they received prasadam? " " Swami, I think they have received prasadam. " " Why do you think? You go and check it out! " When I went, only two rows were left. Distribution was almost over. I thought the boy will complete it quickly. After all, boys are young. They can jump; they don't walk. 'They can easily complete it,' I thought. So I went and reported to Swami. " It is over. " Swami said, " No! Two more rows are left. Why do you bluff? I know. " (Laughter) On another occasion, I said, " Swami, the buses are on strike. Road Transport Corporation (RTC) buses are on strike. Buses are not plying to this place! " He said, " Old news! The strike was called off this morning. Buses are running just as before. " (Laughter) He even mentioned the name of a person who arrived that morning, sitting in the fiftieth row in Poornachandra Auditorium. " See that man has come here. He is the RTC depot manager. He is sitting in Poornachandra Auditorium, behind. " But Swami had never been to that side. My friends, these are not stories. I will give you his house number and if you are so particular, his identification (a mole on the hand, a mole on the cheek), his ID, address and all that. Yet, physically we feel so badly when Swami doesn't look at us. However, contrary to how one might feel, all of us are 'registered' here (known and noticed by Swami). PHYSICAL, OUTWARD CONTACT IS NOT REAL There were many instances when He said, " This is your fourth visit. You are feeling that I have not looked at you. I know. This is your fourth visit, I know. " How does He know that this is your fourth visit if He has not looked at you? So, let us be convinced that the physical, outward contact is not the real one. It does not represent the reality, what Swami truly is. Sometimes, He will turn His head away like that, as if I have done something wrong. Immediately a thought comes to me: 'Because You have seen me first, You have turned Your head to that side. Or else You would not have turned it! (Laughter) You want to put me to a test; You want to avoid me. Therefore, You have first seen me and then turned Your head like that. I am glad.' I think like this: 'If You want to talk to a person, You have to wait, go to him, see him and call him. Because You want to avoid me, You have seen me first, while You have to see the person of Your choice later. He is on the waiting list as 'number two'! I am in waiting list as 'number one'. Fine! Why not?' So, all of Swami's actions are really very interesting; we should not take it from the outward, external point of view. I have another question, covering the same issue: " Why is Swami not looking at me? When the car came close to me, He ordered the car to be turned in the other direction. " I think same answer applies to this question also. ---------- " rajanimohan " <rajanimohan Tue Dec 11, 2007 10:06 am Re: Am I jealous or I am yearning for Swami Sairam, I understand your feelings. In Swami's court there is no special place for any one no discrimination of rich etc. True, it is the yearning of everyone to see Swami in close quarters, have a pada namaskar, have a sambashanam but we should deserve that, first we should be prepared to follow his foot steps and do service, we need not even go to Nilayam and look for a place in the verandah, he will take us there. Secondly there are many people who have distanced themselves after a frustration of long wait, some even say they are disappointed that they did not get what they deserve, I would like to say, we should not expect anything, constant meditation of his name and form can elevate us. One should never doubt or lose hope. Thirdly, leave it to Swami, he will take care of everyone and fulfill their wishes at the right moment as He knows everything. He is so great we should thank our beloved Lord, as He is there for us always. Nowadays it is so crowded that it is a big challenge to manage and please all of them. Our Swami is setting an example to everybody in the world, Let us be happy wherever we are. Be happy, Be happy and Be happy. IS HE RESPONDING TO YOUR PRAYERS OR NOT? we need not compete for his love as he has a 1000 mother love for each and every one of us. there's an old story abt turtles love for their kids. turtles lay their eggs on the shore and it is just their sight filled with love that hatches the eggs. in the same way swamis enormous love is enough for us. his one sight can destroy all our sins and give us eternity. Did u ever leave parthi with the dissatisfaction that u didnt had a great darshan ......I dont think so every one will be leaving happily with the way they had darshan that time. swami always says abt universal brotherhood in that way the so called VIPS are your brothers dont you feel happy if one of ur brother is so fortunate that he gets a padanamskara or a close darshan. sairam saibabanews , Parthasarathy Rajagopal <partha915 wrote: > > Sairam: > Swami gives all sorts of interview to " Varanda " crowd. > These are people who sit in the reserved area.
