`A Professor on call'......My experiences with Sri Sathya Sai - 12

My experiences with Sri Sathya Sai Baba - 12 (By GSV Ramu) "A Professor on call"................................. Three years ago my wife Srilakshmi told me that she was keen in applying for a PhD program in the local university. She said there is a paper ad inviting applications for the PhD program and requested me to identify through my known sources a Professor in Commerce who would be willing to take her as a student and work as her guide. She said she just had 3 days left to apply for the course. I told her 3 days is too short a time for me to identify a guide as I don’t have any ready contacts. In my typical style I told her pray Baba and He will help you. She immediately

retorted “Why don’t you pray your Baba”. And I sincerely prayed: “Swami please help us to find a professor, and we don’t know anyone as of now and time left is just a day or two” The same day in my home finance office one client was talking to our officer and he had some issue on some payments. The officer clarified but the client wanted to meet the location head. The officer explained that he has clearly stated the policy and situation would not change meeting the location head. However the client insisted

on meeting me – the location head. When he came to my cabin, I couldn’t help him much except reiterate what the officer had already said on the issue. When he was about to leave he gave me his visiting card. It said: Chairman – Board of Studies & Head of the Department of Commerce in the local university. I was stunned. I told him that actually this morning me and my wife were looking for a commerce professor and wondering what to do. He said

absolutely no problem and advised me to ask my wife to meet him in the University for him to do the needful. I told him, “ Looks like God has sent you here today, making my job easy.” He told me, pointing to the big Sai Baba’s photo behind me : “This Man must have sent me here today.” Further, he surprised me by saying that he himself is a devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba! A coincidence??!! A) Why should the professor come exactly after the prayer that too the same morning? -- Had he come to my office after three days by which time the last date for the program is over !! B) Why should he be from Commerce Department and not any other department and how is it that he is the key man there? C) How is it that he was “pulled” miraculously into my room though he did not have any work directly with

me and d) How is it that he also happened to be a devotee. The simple truth is Baba mysteriously connects people and when he does he puts to the key person at the right time and in the right place – provided you sincerely pray and seek His help.
