This refers to one 'Helen kellar school of deaf and deafblind' in Mumbai, which

is is in need of urgent resources.Encl is copy of mail from their Dy.Director to

this effect which is self explanatory in nature .Further their web site link is

Helen kellar is International name but this institute is dependant upon locals

funds in India primarily as i understand, and past 2 yrs or so has seen drop in

Corporate sector funding here due to recession and hence the institute is unable

to maintain their infrastructure.

 

The total cost of setting up another braille systems lab(electronic power

brailer,braille embossing system etc) to meet demands of growing number of

deafblind students is Rs.10Lacs, as described in encl doc.The list of other

items are also shared. 

   

I have been benefactor myself to this institute in the past,where i have donated

multiple high end drinking water purifiers for different sections.

   

I have tried to approach various well to do individuals/Corporates in my

vicinity but with limited ....rather negligent sucess. 

 

I'd be grateful if any donors in your geography can come forward to help this

institute.
