Guest guest
Dear Siddharth, Namaskar Yes its possible for malas not to snap at all if they are seldom used or worn, and only placed in the Puja room for worship. Its also possible that they never snap due to a person's karma. It is unusual for malas to snap off easily but if they do, then it indicates the mala's prevented or dispelled something harmful, thereby having done its 'work' - it depends on which bead falls off and which ones remain on the mala. For example, there was a woman who wore several main beads, including 9 and 11 mukhi on her Personal Mala strung with smaller 5 mukhis. One night she was driving her husband home after a 'spiritual session' that they attended 2 hours away. The car was passing through a stretch of road where she felt highly ill at ease and drowsy. Her husband was more than drowsy and fell asleep there and then. She struggled with the control of her mind and the car on the quiet road. Finally she was able to utter 'Om Namah Shivaya' which is the universal mantra for all rudraksha beads. At that second, her mala snapped and 2 beads came rolling down with their silver caps. They were 9 mukhi and 11 mukhi after she got home and found them. She didn't dare to stop on the road because she sensed something very negative. 9 mukhi and 11 mukhi are highly protective rudraksha, and 11 mukhi is also good for travellers. After the couple got home safely, they talked about the incident and why they were drowsy which is not normal for them. They washed themselves and straight away went to the Puja room to offer thanks to Lord Shiva, 9 mukhi and 11 mukhi. They had the option to restring their malas but both decided that since their existing malas saved them, they would like to honor them on the altar in a special box and obtain new Personal Malas. Its been 2 years and their new malas haven't snapped even though they wear them everyday.
