Guest guest
God is the very embodiment of music. Music and literature are verily the forms of the Formless Brahman. There are many fortunate souls who used music and literature as media to speak with God, to pray and plead with Him. Tyagaraja, Annamacharya, Ramadasu, Meerabai, Kabeerdas and so many other blessed lovers of God worshipped Him by offering Him intense devotional poetry scented with Raga and Tala. Thus they immersed themselves in an ocean of love and attained fulfillment. That Nameless, Formless God who is the very embodiment of music has now taken human form in the holy town of Puttaparthi as Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba! Weaving sweet words into tunes, which are out-of-world, Swami has taught us innumerble songs and poems. Starting from " Maanasa Bhajare " , He has composed and taught us the essence of Veda and Vedanta through simple bhajans and songs. During 1950s, Bhagavan used to compose and sing many songs in scintillating ragas and teach them to His devotees. Bhagavan has once said that remedies could be found for all the mundane problems in these songs. Some of the songs included in this collection were composed by Bhagavan Himself, while a few others were composed and sung by devotees in The Divine Presence. A few blessed devotees have been fortunate to learn these flowers of music and have rendered them in the form of CD's and cassettes as `Sri Sathya Sai Geethamulu'in 14 Volumes. All these songs were released by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the very embodiment of Naada Brahmam and the CD's are available only in Prashanthi Nilayam. As an earnest attempt to spread " Sri Sathya Sai Geetamulu " , Efforts to transliterate meanings and text and also to musically notate has been taken up by Mrs.Bhavadhaarini who has been an active participant of the Geethamulu Recordings. She has already begun to perform full fledged Sai Geethamulu concerts in India and abroad. She has also begun to teach these sweet musical pearls to the interested students and devotees in many parts of the world. One such rare opportunity to these musical pearls is open for Ohio music lovers and Sai devotees. Workshop is planned from April 1st to April 7th 2010 in Dublin.
