Guest guest
Om Sri Sai Ram Thus Spoke Sai The ears relish evil; they do not welcome goodness. They are warped and worsened so. There is a clay type of listening; clay becomes soft when water is added to it, but when water evaporates, it becomes as hard as it was. Mind too, becomes soft when religious discourses are heard. But, when you move away the effect is lost. Do not cater to such low desire; control the sravanam (listening). The eyes do not wander; it is as the messenger of the mind that the eyes wander. If the mind orders them not to look at bad, the eyes have to obey. The mind is not insane; it can be used for tightening bonds as well as loosening them. Man has the choice. It is an instrument for either. Condemn the use, not the tool. SOURCE: Gems of Wisdom, page-64.
