Past life Sadhanas (spiritually motivated efforts) or born with passion

Sai Ram brother's and sister's ,

 

 

I heard some spiritual talk which was aired on Faith channel - now some holy sages declared that people who are born in royal families or have become President of the country is due to their past lives Sadhanas. He also reiterated that we don't know how much sadhana they did in their past lives ? that is why they are rewarded in this life which they are not aware of and they are born with exceptional power and fame.

 

Now my question is how come we don't see any spiritualism in them in this life ? how come they forget spirituality ? instead get immersed in materialism,power ,lust etc - bit confusing, or they are born in that Genes ? what is it ?

 

Did our Lord Swami mention anything like this ? somehow I couldn't agree with this holy sage( with due respect ).
