AUM SAI RAM Dear Anita,

You are welcome. And I believe that His Will has brought you to my message, in time when you needed it.

Service to humanity and needy has always been my greatest inspiration on spiritual path. I remember the time when Croatia was in war, and we used to visit refugee camps, deliver packages, and take care of people hurt by war… Even today, I cannot forget the feeling of joy I felt when I saw grateful faces; tears of happiness in their eyes… They were happy because we brought them the feeling that they have not been forgotten….

One beautiful and true fact that Mother Theresa has pointed out was that not only homeless, sick and people without money are poor… She repeated continuously that people left alone and without Love are the poorest of the poor.

I think the best test for each person on spiritual path is to ask himself… "What do I do when I see poor, sick, hungry person on the street, person that is on the edge of life and death? Do I feel Love and compassion for such person, or do I make face of disgusts and go around? Do I stop, and even if I do not have money or food to help, I express deep compassion and Love to that person?"… Mother Teresa knew the answer to that question. She said, "Loving Christ expressed thirst on the cross. But it was not thirst for water… It was thirst for the Love of man." She found Christ in each of her brothers and sisters and she gave them water of Love, especially to the ones that needed it most.

Swamy beautifully says;

"Love which expresses itself in service to all living things is the best expression of the love of God."

"SAMSKARAS (right actions) make human life meaningful and edifying. The goal of man is to realise the divinity that is in him. This can be achieved only by getting rid of all bad qualities and filling one's mind and heart with love and compassion. "Love is God and God is Love." A life without love is sterile and barren. Whatever one's difficulties or troubles, one should try to help others to the extent possible. Selfless, loving service to others, is the highest form of sadhana. It represents true devotion--Bhakti. Such Bhakti is not affected by the reverse of fortune or changes in circumstances. One should not be concerned only about one's own welfare, career and prosperity. It is not for the enjoyment of personal possessions and comforts that man has taken birth. He has greater goal to achieve, something more permanent and lasting."

"A life without Love is really living death."

"A man without love is a living corpse. It is love and sacrifice which make man divine."

"A man can get on without many things in life. But he cannot get on without love. Love is at the root of all action."

And I think that in following Swamy description we can find Mother Teresa;

"The third category is pure Satwic love. In contemporary conditions, this type of love is rare. People filled with satwic love recognise that the same Divine is present in all beings, and consider that without love towards all beings life is meaningless. By their universal love, they proclaim the truth about the omnipresence of the Divine. Their vision is spiritual, as they see the Divine in all beings. Such persons are fearless like lions, which roam about without any apprehensions of danger from any source. The person with bodily vision behaves like sheep, steeped in fear. The one who has acquired the spiritual vision has all his senses, mind and intellect under the control of the Atma."

Mother Theresa; "Sisters of Missionaries of Charity depend only on Gods providence. We live like poor to be able to understand the poor."

In Love and compassion that we find and offer to others, we worship real God that pervades everything. In total devotion to God, present in each human being, with Love for each living being on earth, we in direct way, worship true God.

Time knows about a lot of such saints like Mother Theresa, which are true examples for us to follow. I`m just sorry that this forum doesn`t cover more of them. Truth and Love are universal, and all religions, especially saints like Mother Theresa, teach the same principle like our loving Swamy. And we should pay respect to all of them, as well as follow their paths.

AUM JAI SAI RAM

In Sai Love,

Igor
