Guest guest
Sai Ram to all. It is with a very heavy heart that I wish to report the passing away of an ICON within the Sai Fold. He passed away last night. His name was Dr. Padmanaban. If you had been for drashans in Whitefield, he is the one who used to walk behind Swami, holding the handkerchief – ready and waiting, if Swami needed to wipe his hand. As of late, because Swami has been moving about on the Wheel Sofa, we could see Dr. Padmanaban coming on the stage along-with Swami. Very humble, very sweet, always smiling, Dr. Padmanabam had undertaken many tasks within the Sai Organization here in Bangalore, and as a result, every Sai smithi here in Bangalore is benefiting a great deal. He had been devoted to Bhagavan Baba for over six decades. I pray that May The Lord Almighty keep Dr. Padmanab's Soul in eternal peace, and May HE give the courage and strength to Dr. Padmanab's family to bear this loss. Dr. Padmanaban's son, Jagdish works actively within the Sai Mission, and so does his daughter Geeta Mohan Ram, whome, many listeners of Radio Sai, as well as many devotees, particularly in the United States, may be knowing due to her heart warming narrations of her experiences with Swami. Sai Ram. Your's in eternal friendship Sai-Deepak B. Daswani

Guest guest
Sai Ram, Thank you all for the condolences of my grandfather, it was nice reading them in this difficult time. He was indeed one of the kindest, most loving, and service oriented people I have ever known. I cannot think of a single time he ever refused to help someone when they came to him for help. His principle was always " I must do the best that I can when someone asks me for help " . Due to his proximity to Swami many people always asked him for help and he always tried his best even if it meant approaching Swami on someone else's behalf. I think it is for his unfailing attitude to help those in need and his unyielding faith Swami proclaimed that " Padmanab is and has been my Hanuman " at my grandfather's 80th birthday. Having been with Swami for 60 years of his life I can truly say he imbibed and put into practice many of Swami's teachings with a deep sense of humility and lack of fanfare. He will be sorely missed, but our family takes solace in the fact that he had a happy and contented life and is now with Bhagawan where he belongs.
