Devotee experience

Dear sai brothers and sisters,

I would like to share with you that wonderful experience which made me a Sai devotee in true sense.

My first experience of Baba..

My parents are Sai devotees. We used to go for sai bhajans while I was in school. But that was more like a routine than real devotion.

The experience which drew me closer to Swami happened in May 2008. My husband got transfer to Bangalore and we reached here in Jan 2008. Surprisingly, our house was very close (10 kms) to Swami’s ashram at whitefield. Since then I had a deep desire to take my parents to whitefield and give them darshan and I was waiting for an opportunity. I knew how eager my parents were to see Baba. Then, my parents, who were staying in Kerala visited us in April 2008. One day before their arrival, I had read in newspaper that Swami is in Whitefield and he is expected to be there for few more days. I became very happy and when they arrived I told them this and they were very happy to hear this. In the evening I checked swami’s website to see the darshan timings …and I was shocked to see that Swami had gone back to Parthi. I was really depressed to hear this. We thought that Swami doesn’t want us to be there now and how can anything happen against his wish and thus we consoled ourselves.

But this fact remained in my mind that I could not give my parents the happiness of sai darshan and I was hurt. Suddenly, one afternoon I fell asleep for some time and in my dream I saw Swami and that I am standing right in front of him and he is blessing everyone. When I told this to my father he asked me to check the website and see whether Bhavagan has come again to Whitefield. I said that is not possible since swami had left for Parthi only a few days back. But I still checked the site and found that Swami is still at Puttaparthi. But suddenly I saw there an invitation to join “Sai group” and I clicked on the link and thus became a member of Sai group the same day I saw Swami in dream. Next day I opened my inbox to a large number of mails from “Sai baba news”. I opened my first mail and I could not believe my eyes!! The headlines said “Breaking news… Baba has left Puttaparthi for Whitefield.” I was so happy to read this and few other mails which said the same. When I told this to my parents they could not control their joy and my father said that Swami wanted us to come and that is the reason why he came in my dream and showed us the way. We decided to go to Whitefield next day early morning though we were not sure that the news we received was true. On reaching the ashram I eagerly asked one seva dal whether bhagavan was there. She replied that Swami came unexpectedly yesterday evening and that Swami is expected to give darshan in an hour or so and asked us to take token for darshan. I could not controlled my joy and my eyes were wet with tears. We realized that but for that dream I would not have checked the website and known that Swami had arrived. We sat in the hall and by 9 o’clock Bhagavan arrived and we had a good darshan, our first darshan. I thanked Swami with all my heart for giving me an opportunity to bring my parents to his ashram and giving me a chance to fulfill their wish. I could that believe that Swami came in my dream and exactly three days after that I am actually seeing him!

Our Swami knows everything and if we truly wish for something he will make it happen even without asking.
