AUM SAI RAM

There is, definitely, confusion here, I mean, in the interpretation of Baba's words. Each devotee must apply the message to his/her own circumstances.

When I read the first posting- Swami on the use of cell phones, I made up my mind to stop using mine altogether. I deliberately stopped to charge the battery of my Motorola. I stopped to top up my 'Pay as U Go' local card.

A few days later, it crossed my mind that I might have committed a big blunder. I had volunteered to contribute in 'Narayan Seva' at the Sai Centre in Russell Square, London on Sunday 19th October. I was to prepare and to bring a Mauritian speciality dish. The Seva Convener had given me her mobile number. She had taken mine. Why? On Saturday night, I woke up several times, stressed. I did not phone her to confirm though she did not ask me to do so. I could not say whether she had phoned, my mobile being off.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, I was up. A little before ten, the food was ready. Stress was still eating me up. I did not phone; I did not know whether she phoned bla bla bla…. Baba then told me-'Silly! Relax! There is no point in doing seva if you are going to work yourself up!' I relaxed completely as the meaning of Baba's message dawned upon me. Once we have undertaken to do something, it is our divine duty to do it. Once we have given our word, it is our divine duty to keep it.

The delicious Mauritian speciality dish reached the Centre in time. Baba, in the form of 80 Narayana, was fed to his heart's delight. The cell phone remained mute. JAI SAI RAM
