Guest guest
There is Ashtanga Yoga with eight forms of discipline, eight ways of spiritual practices to realise One - 81. Eight also represents the eight poles, ashta dikpalaka. The only One that manages the eight-poled universe - 81. The number eight also speaks of the five plus three - the five senses of cognition plus three . . . mano, bhuddhi, ahamkara (the mind, intellect, and ego.) The eight to realise One - the Divine. Eight plus one is Bhagavan Baba Himself. Eight plus one is the number nine. The number nine is the Divine number. Why? It is changeless. 9 x 3 = 27 and 2 + 7 = 9 9 x 4 = 36 and 6 + 3 = 9 9 x 5 = 45 and 4 + 5 = 9 9 x 9 = 81 and 8 + 1 = 9 It is changeless. That which is changeless is Divine, like our Bhagavan Baba Himself. And nine has combinations of six and three, or six plus three. Six represents Divine qualities, three are human qualities. Sathwic, rajas and thamas are the three attributes or human qualities. Samagras, vairagya, dharmasya, sriha, and yashas-name, fame, detachment, righteousness, plenty and prosperity are the Divine qualities. 6 + 3 = 9 8 + 1 = 9 So we are the combinations of nine, each and every one of us. We have got six Divine qualities and three human qualities; but unfortunately, we allow the three to dominate and the six to remain silent. - From a Talk given by Prof. Anil Kumar Om Sai Ram
