Baba talks of His Reality

Bombay 1968 - At the First World Conference

a mammoth gathering listened gob smacked to the discourse of the Sai Avatar.

Unlike on other important occasions, at this special event, Baba spoke about

Himself. He had chosen to reveal, in His discourse, the unknown depths of His

Divine Reality.

 

A lot of

water has flowed under the bridge since then. Some devotees have denied Baba,

while the faith of others has remained unshaken. Some have forsaken His Fold,

while others, crying for His Grace, have taken refuge at His Lotus Feet.

 

Forty years

have elapsed since Baba revealed the truth of His Reality. The dawn of His

Eighty Third Birthday is seemingly an opportune occasion for devotees to once

more take cognizance of the declaration made by the Living God in 1968 –

 

"I cannot

but tell you one fact. World Conferences dedicated to religion or spiritual

problems have been held before; also, conferences of followers of particular

faiths. But, these have been held only after the demise of the founders or divine

inspirers .This is the very first time a World Conference is held of persons

devoted while the incarnation is present, before everyone, with the Body

assumed for the purpose of Incarnation and the Name chosen for It by Itself.

Ninety nine

out of one hundred of you do not strive to know My Reality. You cannot

understand My Reality, either to-day or even after thousands of years of

austerity or inquiry, even if all mankind join in that effort. But, very soon,

you will be aware of the Bliss showered by the Divine Principle which has taken

upon Itself this Body and this Name. Your good fortune, therefore, is greater

than what was the share of sages and saints and even personalities, embodying

facets of Divine Glory.

Since I

moved about with you, eat like you and talk with you, you are deluded into the

belief that this is but an instance of common humanity. Be warned against this

mistake. I am also deluding you by My talking with you and engaging Myself in

activities with you. You have to be ready, prepared for that moment. Since the

divinity is enveloped by humanness, you must endeavour to overcome delusion

that hides It from your eyes.

This is a

Human Form, in which every Divine Entity, every Divine Principle, that is to

say, all Names and Forms ascribed to God are manifest. Do not allow doubt to

distract you; if you only install in the altar of your heart steady faith in My

Reality you can soon have a vision of My Reality. Instead, if you swing back

and forth like the pendulum of a clock, you can never succeed in comprehending

the Truth and winning that Bliss.

Let Me draw

your attention to another fact. On previous occasions, when God incarnated on

Earth, the Bliss of recognising Him as Incarnation was vouchsafed only after

the Physical Embodiment had left the World. In spite of evidences of His Grace,

the loyalty and devotion they commanded from men arose from fear and awe at their

superhuman powers and skills or at their imperial and penal authority. But,

ponder a moment on this Sathya Sai Manifestation! In this age of rampant

materialism, aggressive disbelief and irreverence, what is it that brings to It

the adoration of millions from all over the world? The reason is, It is Supra-

world Divinity in Human Form.

How

fortunate you are that you can witness all the countries of the world paying

homage to India.

You can hear also adoration to the Name Sathya Sai, reverberating throughout

the world, even while this Body is before you, not at some future date when it

has departed, but when It is with you, and before your eyes!

You can

also witness very soon the restoration to its genuine and natural status of

Sanaathana Dharma, the Dharma laid down in the Vedas for the good of all the

peoples of the world, the Vedic Dharma. That is the Sai Sankalpa!

I will

sustain Truth; I will uproot Untruth, I will make all of you exult in ecstasy,

on that victory and that achievement. This is the Sai Sankalpa!"- Bhagawan Sri
