The only blemish that affects the mind is illusion. It is like a fierce dog that prevents anyone from approaching the Master. One can manage to by pass it by assuming the roopam or the Form of the Master or by calling out loudly His Name so that He comes down and accompanies you inside His house. For the Master to do so, you must win His Grace. Illusion is His pet, if the Master orders it to desist from harming you, it will not harm you. The Master comes to save not one good man from illusion, but the whole of mankind. The Lord manifests Himself only to shower Grace.
