Guest guest
Sent by a Dear Sai Devotee : We are all essentially God is the Philosophy of Sri Adi Sankara's Advaita Vedanta. No religion has given such dignity to mankind. we all are being equated to God! Many people are frightened off by such ideas. They ask, "We do not feel like God, We certainly do not behave like God, so how can we be God?" Hindus say that the reason is because we have never tried to discover our true Self. We get attached to what we think we are rather than what we truly are. We associate ourselves with our bodies and minds and NOT with the essential thing, that is looking out through our minds and bodies. The conclusion of Hindu philosophy is that 'it is God alone who manifests himself as the universe (defined as BRAHMAN), and becomes more clearly expressed as CONSCIOUSNESS in all living things (defined as ATMAN).' By beginning the journey of self discovery, we end up by discovering God. According to this finding, the highest worship of God is 'SERVICE to mankind and respect for all living things.' This is the Hindu version of Humanism: it is called Spiritual Humanism.. It is most auspicious to listen the most famous writings of BHAJAGOVINDAM of Sri Sankara recited by the Legend singer M S AMMA (SubbaLakshmi) with English meaning subtitled by clicking the link below http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4FUQxn4CnY & feature=related
