Guest guest
Sai Ram Everyone,Just wrote (or rather typed) a poem after having a flash of inspiration. Here it goes:Poetry of Hopeby SukhbirTry preaching religion to a kid who sucks on lollipops,All he does is nod his head but doesn't care about it,Because he knows there's no need for religion,When all you got to do is love everyone like a mother loves her child.Try preaching the meaning of life to a bedridden man,And he will stop you from speaking,And will tell you how much life means to him,If he could do something simple as walking again.Try preaching the meaning of love to a mother who has lost her child,And she will lament how she wishes,It was her that the Almighty took,Instead of her baby. What's the point? What's the point? All these name and wealth but nothing for the poor,All these feelings but no time for love and care,All these talk and plans but no actions whatsoever!Life becomes like music where no one listens to it anymore..Becomes food where no one eats anymore,Becomes the air where no one breathes in anymore,Becomes water where no one drinks anymore. What's the point? What's the point?Don't preach religion,Preach humanity!Don't protest,Instead love!Be practical,Instead of theoretical!Don't be rigid,Be flexible!Be yourself,Instead of wishing of being someone else!Think! Appreciate! Respect! Move on!Ride the bus of hope,Carry the flame of love,And run like you've never run before..Life isn't over yet! There's approximately 35 days left for the May 18th 2008 - A Sandwich for the Homeless Day campaign that has been initiated worldwide. Here is just another reminder to support it. Like I've said, it's an easy to do it yourself social campaign. All you got to do is go through your daily life like normal on May the 18th 2008, but when you come across any beggars or homeless souls, please get them something to eat. It doesn't have to be a sandwich. As long as it's something healthy, clean and edible, it's cool. And you can do it with a group of your friends too!Visit the link here for more info:http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=22733823328(You need to be a Facebook user in order to view that. Or, you can just drop me an email and i can explain and give you guys more info on this campaign)Please note, this project is not initiated by any NGOs, Movements or Organisations. It's just being initiated by a 21 year old for these poor souls.Attached herewith are also some of the banners created to advertise this campaign.Your's Truly,Sukhbir(Malaysia)***Please forward this email to everyone who's interested. Thank you!***
