Guest guest
Sai Ram. I herewith begin a series of extracts from the book "Sri Sathya Sai ANANDADAYI" by Karunamba Ramamoorthy wherein the author loving recalls her association with Swami in his very early years. The experiences of the author are so overwhelming and full of Sai sweetness that any devotee of Bhagawan would love to relish and cherish. Sai Ram. Narayanan -------- The Call No one can come to Me, however accidental it might seem, without my calling. Sri Satya Sai Baba. Sometime in 1944 I was returning to Mysore with my husband, Sri. N.Ramamurthy, from Hubli via Guntakal where we had gone to visit my sister, Radha. My husband was an employee of Mysore Railways (now Southern Railways). On the way, at one of the stations where the train had stopped (I cannot recall the name of the station now), we saw people rushing into a compartment at the rear end of the train. On enquiry, we learnt that a boy who could perform miracles was travelling on the same train. Everyone was rushing to see him. I told my husband, "You too go and see what it is all about." After some time, he came back and told me that a small boy dressed in shirt and shorts was in that compartment. He was known as Sathyam of Puttaparthi. I too had an urge to see him. As it was time for the train to leave, I did not dare to get down. It seems that the Village Accountant of Kallur has taken the boy to his village. Now he was bringing the boy back to Puttaparthi. That was my husband's first Darshana of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I was destined to see him only after two years. (To be continued)
