Swami answers another prayer in Sabarimala My Experiences with Sri Sathya Sai Baba – 11 (By GSV Ramu) After that first visit to Sabarimala where Baba appeared as a “beggar” and gave me the foot wear and disappeared, the subsequent summer my friend Sai Praksh invited me to join him again for the trek to Sabarimala

to see Lord Ayyappa. I readily agreed but this time I decided to trek the hill with foot wear. We started off around 8am with a group again and mid way Sai Prakash commented “Ramu, though you are wearing foot wear I think history is going to repeat for me that on the retun I may have to walk in the sweltering heat bare foot on the sharp stones”. I felt sorry for my friend Sai Praksh and I immediately told him that I will pray Baba . I sincerey prayed Baba: “Swami, please see that by 1pm it becomes cloudy so that we all can go down happily and by doing this show your Mercy and Power to my friends too”. Then I told Sai Prakash confidently not to worry and I prayed Baba and its going to be cloudy at 1pm. I also quoted him an instance in Mahabharat where the clouds cover the sun completely and

everyone thought that it was dawn and the war was ended for that day. I told him God can do anything. We trekked the hill and had a good darshan. It was as usual being April month. We spent a lot of time on the hill after darshan of Lord Ayyappa. Finally we started the return journey around 12.30pm from the temple. At around 12.55pm the first cloud covered the sun. I noticed it and thought it was a coincidence and did not say anything to Sai Prakash or my group. But in the next five to ten minutes more and more clouds came and it became virtually clouded and it was about to rain!! With clouds all over it became “dark” typical of a rainy day. Now Sai Prakash and friends saw this weather and suddenly remembered my “prayer and

prediction” . They said, looks like your Baba has answered your prayer. We were all extremely happy. After these two incidents Sai Prakash and another friend in the group are now regular visitors to Prasanthi Nilayam. An ordinary hot day in summer with no sign of clouds till 12.30pm suddenly becoming fully cloud – short of raining – exactly at 1pm with a specific prayer done in public. Does any one think it is coinicidence? (I will tell you more such instances to say that they are only Saincidences). The omnipresent Sai answers all sincere prayers. Sairam.
