Guest guest
We've known for years that those close to Baba are often burdened with many problems, beset by illness and, for those who grow close to Him, banishment from darshan of His form. Professor Kasturi was a great and loyal devotee who was banished from the Sai presence over a trivial matter, only to be re-admitted some five years later to become ashram manager. We've learned the editor of Sai Memories was also banned, but only from ONE of Baba's three ashrams, for five long years then allowed to return and become a popular chronicler of Sai Memories - a curious puzzle ! Now read this conversation with Al Drucker, who also was banned from Baba's darshan. Then, more than nine years later came redemption at the Lotus Feet. Be loved and be blessed. http://sathyasaimemories.wordpress.com/2010/01/15/al-drucker-story/
Guest guest
AUM SAI RAM Humble Pranams at the Lotus Feet of Bhagavan. Dear Saibandhus, What an amazing experience and lesson , not only to Saibandhu Al Drucker but to the readers as well. Wonderful are the Leelas of Swami, especially towards those devotees who have close proximity with Swami. Following is as i presume in relevance to the above. Kindly pardon me if i am not right. The Leelas of Swami may appear outwardly stern to some devotees, but underneath that sternness lies the Divine Love of Lord with certain spiritual teachings applicable differently to different devotees. The banishment of some devotees from Swami's presence might be to teach some spiritual lessons to them. Naturally devotees who have close proximity are strongly attached to the Physical form of Swami. Swami wills that ardent devotees shouldn't be attached to His outward form strongly for ever. Hence Swami creates situations and opportunities for such devotees to get rid of the attachment to His form by keeping them away temporarily. Probably we can take an example of the attachment of a child with its Mother. The child doesn't like to go to school leaving Mother. Mother knows that due to the deep attachment with her the child doesn't want to go to school. Therefore the Mother scolds the child to create some disappointment and some aversion in the child so that the child goes to the school, though unwillingly. This stern act of the Mother results in the child acquiring good education and knowledge later. Lastly the child realises the true intention behind Mother's stern action. Similarly, with Swami's physical view and contact lost, such devotees try to see Swami through inner view; they install Swami's form in their spiritual hearts and worship-- a 180 degree turn inside. In fact this should be the case. Thus devotee is able to have inner darshan of Swami and his attachment to the outside form of Swami diminishes gradually. Primarily there are three sections of rungs in the spiritual ladder. The bottom section of rungs may be thought of worshipping the physical form of God, the middle section worshippimg the form of God installed in the spiritual heart, and in the third section the form of God or Sad Guru melts into formlessness and the devotee experiences the Bliss and Paramananda of God thus experiencing God inside as well outside. Swami will not leave his ardent devotees until they reach the final rung of spiritual ladder, even if it requires harsh treatment. Swami's every action has very deep spiritual meaning.
