Trust is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded on 17th June 1996 with the blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba to help the needy and downtrodden in society. Registered as a charitable institution it has been functioning for the last 9 years as an orphanage for destitute and abandoned children, old age people and people physically handicapped. There are a network of 20 institutions all over Kerala which includes orphanages, old peoples homes, training centres, service cells, ambulance services etc. The funds come through from voluntary organizations and individuals. In our 9 years history we have never resorted to any fund raising campaigns. Still we are able to cover the huge expenditures to support more than 700 poor souls with the help of generous human beings from all over the planet. Sai gramam – A universal concept. In spite of doing all that is mentioned above we in the Trust feel that we are not doing enough to service the deprived and we have to do so much more. To achieve this objective we have formulated a vision for the future. The realization of this vision is Saigramam – which was launched by his Excellency, the Governor of Kerala on 1st Nov 2004. The concept of Saigramam when materialized will project the ideals for which India has stood for centuries together, and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba stands for “The equality and truth for all religions and the universal brotherhood of man,” and the great objective epitomized by the ancient prayer “Lokha Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu”. Sai Gramam will rise in a 50 acre land at Thonakkal amidst the picturesque surroundings of Pandavamala about 29 kms from Trivandrum City. Apart from centralizing all institutions run by the Trust in Sai Gramam a host of other projects also will be incorporated viz.a holistic hospital for all branches of medicine, a 24 hour free food facility for the poor, job training centres, dairy farm, agricultural research centre, vedic university, art village, prayer hall, bank, post office etc. The approach to Sai Gramam will depict the fusion of mainstream faiths, a church, a mosque and a Shirdi Sai/ Ganesh temple. We plan to realize the project over a

period of 7 years with an estimated cost of Rs. 150 crores. The detailed project outlay of Sai Gramam was blessed by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on Vishu Day 14-04-04. We are in the process of acquiring the first 25 acres of land in march - april costing Rs 1.5 crores. Land for the approach is already bought and the road work is full progress. We request your assistance to realize this unique concept, a first in India and a first in the world. If you believe in the concept make a contribution whatever it may be. Our envisaged PRESENT RUNNING Projects are:- (Still Some are under construction) 1. Sai Niketans-to house 300 children. These Niketans would comprise 32 cottages and each of these cottages will house 9 children along with their foster-mothers. 2. Sayoojyams- to house 200 old men and women and this would consist of 20 cottages each housing 10 people with 2 attendants. 3. SANTHWANAMS - to house 100 children with mental retardation. This Project requires 20 cottages with 5 children in each of these cottages, aided by 2 care takers.- 4. SAI KARUNALAYAM - to house 150 people who have been treated and relieved of mental disorders 15 in each cottage-. 5. SAYAHNAM Centre for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. 6. A HOLISTIC HOSPITAL - giving free service with equal importance to all systems of Medicine Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy etc. with a yoga centre- This will be the first of its type in Kerala. Under Construction 15. SAI NARAYANALAYAM - to provide free food for the hungry - opens 24 hours of the day (to feed the poor and the hungry who reach Sai Gram - open for 24 hours of the day) 16. AGRICULTURAL GARDEN and AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH CENTRE. (Under Construction) 17. JOB ORIENTED TRAINING - Every year 10,000 people will be trained in jobs of their choice to enable them to earn their livelihood eg. Plumbing, Driving, Electrical work, Weaving etc. various Crafts and Cottage industries will also be included so that the women of the locality will also become self supporting. 18.

SAI SAMYOJANA Guest House in the Campus- Guest houses with modern facilities with single or double occupancy will be

built. A down payment will enable the donor to have a suite of rooms for themselves under this scheme Sai Samyojana so long as they desire. Interested parties could also benefit from the Sai-Gram-Yojana whereby Donators could be provided with an occupancy free of charge for 5 days a year. 23. A VEDIC UNIVERSITY with main foens on the study of Vedas and Sanskrit, including Research and development an various systems of Science- Doctoral and post doctoral courses can also be conducted in accordance with the objectives of the University.
