Dear Sunita

There are two schools of thought for wearing gemstones, Anukul and Pratikul.

I am strongly in favour of the former.

One very important point. One thing you have to see is where a

particular planet is placed i.e. in which House from Lagna, whether 1st house, 2nd house,

3rd house etc. The second thing is who is the Lord of the House where

a particular planet is placed. What is the relationship between the planet

and the Lord of the House. Whether there is a good, neutral or inimical

relation. If both are good, the results will be very good. If both are inimical,

the results would not be good. If for example, Jupiter is placed in the 9th

House, but is in Makar or Kumbh, the results would be moderate, inspite

of the fact that Jupiter in the 9th House should give very good results.

In the case you have stated, I see no point at all in strengthening an inimical

Sun in the 12th house by wearing a Ruby, even though Sun is in friend's house

in Scorpio. However, Sun in Scorpio gives only moderate benefits.

For Dhanur Lagna {Lord of Dhanur is Jupiter} and since Jupiter is in the 9th House

and that too in Leo [friend's house], I would strongly recommend an Yellow Sapphire

to strengthen the Lagna. Saturn in Pieces gives good results but here since

Saturn is in the 4th House, the good results will be moderate.

Venus in the 10th house gives many benefits except for the fact that one

may suffer a break in education. But Venus in Virgo gives only moderate

results.

Moon in the 10th House and in Virgo are very good. I would also recommend

wearing a Pearl.

Since I have suggested wearing an Yellow Sapphire and a Pearl; it is better

not to wear gemstones from the opposite camp like diamonds and Blue

Sapphires. However, in place of Ruby, an Emerald can be safely worn,

after considering the placement of Mercury in this particular horoscope.

I personally would always suggest wearing a Mercury [if Mercury placement

is good] in place of Ruby, since Ruby has a tedency to aggravate tempers,

inspite of leading to wealth and fame. Mercury enhances wealth

but keeps the brain cool and sharpens the mental faculties.

It is always better to wear just one or two excellent gemstones to

strengthen the horoscope.

Jupiter in the 8th House is per se not considered good. Jupiter, though

in a friend's House in Sorpio cannot give much benefits for an Aries

Ascendant, since here it is in the 8th House.

I trust I have clarified the issues raised by you. However, my knowledge

of astrology is very limited and I would suggest that you consult a good

astrologer to study your horoscope in depth before wearing a particular

gemstone(s).

Dear Ramesh,I have a few questions to ask you based on what you have written. >  of Venus and Moon is considered highly beneficial for name and fame..What would be the effect if in dhanu lagna venus and moon aretogether in 10th house ie. in virgo, and shani directly opposite in the4th house ie in pieces.also the lord of 4th--jupiter in the ninth ie.leo & sun in 12th house.should such a person wear a ruby and avoid pearls nd diamonds?.> If, for example, you have Jupiter in a Kendra or Angle [i.e. the1st, 4th, 7th> or 10th house], it becomes a malefic. This follows from the rulethat benefics> in Kendras (Angles) give bad results and malefics in Kendras givegood results.Based on the above, what will be the effect if jupiter isin the 8th house for aries ascendent?will this not give bad effects asjupiter is bhagyesh?kindly

explain as it is quite puzzling.Thank youSunita.
