Guest guest
" Never mind others' mind " - Part 04 Watching the mind is meditation " Whosoever offers to me, with love or devotion, a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, that offering of love of the pure and self controlled man is willingly and readily accepted by Me " Lord sri Krishna in bhagwad Gita IX 26 Lord Sri Krishna says in Sri Bhagvadgita Chapter IV 7-8 that " Whenever there is a decay of Dharma (righteousness) and an ascendancy of unrighteousness I manifest Myself; and for the protection of the virtuous, the destruction of the vicious and for the establishment of righteouness, I manifest Myself in age after age " Therefore, once I understand the game that the mind is playing, what a fool it makes of me, then I will be always careful. I will be watchful. Watch your mind!mind your own business for ever and ever!!! If you are watching everybody else, let me encourage you to watch your own mind instead. Watching one's own mind is meditation. Meditation is not a posture. Meditation is not a gesture. Meditation is not mechanical. Meditation is not repeating of a name. If i go on repeating " Sai Ram, Sai Ram, Sai Ram " . I go into a state of sleep or samadhi and snore, disturbing everybody around me. That is really a tragedy. so, meditation is the observence of one's own mind. " Never mind other's mind " Why do i say that? I have identified myself with my mind because I think I am the mind. I feel I am special because I think that I am the mind, or that I am superior. This identification with the mind is tragic. Identification with the mind is the cause for all calamities. Identification with the mind is the real tragedy of life, the same tragedy may be giving you some time even law suit also from some body without having any reason. That is the only observation that matters. I consider this sharing of " Never mind others' mind " of Sai's message a spititual sadhana, designed only for my temperament, for my profession, for my vocation, for my avocation, if not for provocation At the physical level, at the level of the body, it is action that is important. Action. At the psychological level, self-analysis is important. Let me analyse what my mind is my dear friends......!!! My dear friends, How do I analyse my mind without hurting anybody? Baba has also been clear on this, my friends. A thought comes to my mind right now, whether you are interested in my talk or not. Another thought comes to my mind now, I think now that my audience yesterday's evening bhajan must have appreciated my talk regarding 'never mind others' mind " much more than this morning audience, the main topics is " Why do good people suffer " still my survey is going on for just to find out the truth " how these all the things happend in my life with out my knowledge " everything is possible if you are having god's grace & blessings my dear friends My dear friends, This awareness, this watchfulness, this analysis of one's own thought and action process is meditation. Yes it is. And what happen when we observe our own thoughts? We learn how to manage our mind. " Our mind is fickle by nature, it should not be allowed to get wild. The senses may get restless, the body, however should be held in check, not allowed to be impatient. Senses run after objects, but we should not follow them and crave for their objects. By slow and gradual practice, restless can be conquered. We should not be swayed by the senses, but they cannot be completely controlled. we should curb them, rightly and properly, according to the need of the occasion. There is no room for shyness or fear. Only we should never entertain evil thoughts. making the mind desireless, observe God's works of beauty. In this way, the senses will be easily and naturally controlled, and even in enjoying objects you will be reminded of God. If the outer senses are held in check, and if the mind be allowed to run after objects and be attached to them, then our cycle of birth and death will not come to an end. Objects of sense are things harmful. With Viveka (discrimination) as our charioteer, we will control our mind, and shall not allow the senses to go astray. With such charioteer, we reach the Sai's Lotus Feet, the final abode, our real Home from which there is no return " Control of the mind and the senses. The body is the chariot and the self is its master; intellect is the charioteer, and the mind is the reins; the senses are the horses and sense objects their path. He who has understanding and whose mind is unrestrained, has his senses unmanageable like the vicious horses of a charioteer, does not reach his destination (get realization), but goes through the round of births and deaths; but he, who has understanding and whose mind is restrained, has his senses being control, like the good horse of a charioteer, reaches that place, that is the state of self realization, whence he is not born again. The man, who has understanding as his charioteer (guide) and is able to rein his mind, reaches the end of the journey, which is the supreme abode of the all pervading, Sai (Lord) Purification of the mind. Unless a man discharges satisfactorily and dis-interestedly the duties of his station in life, his mind will not be purified and, unless his mind is purified, he cannot get self realization. It is only in the purified mind that Viveka (dis crimination between the unreal and the real) and Vairagya (Non-attachment to the unreal) crop up and lead on to self realization. Unless egoism is dropped, avarice got rid of, and the mind made desireless (pure), self realization is not possible. The idea that " I am the body " is a great delusion, and attachment to this idea is the cause of bondage. Leave off this idea and attachment therefore, if you want to get to the goal of self realization Baba Said " Those who are fortunate and whose demerits have vanished, take to My worship. If you always say " SAI, SAI " I shall take you over the seven seas; believe in these words, and you will be certainly benefited. I do not need any paraphernalia of worship - either eight fold or sixteen fold. I rest there where there is full devotion " God lives in all beings and creatures, whether they be serpents or scorpions. HE is the Great Wirepuller of the world, and all being, serpents, scorpions etc...obey His command. Unless He wills it, nobody can do any harm to others. the world is all dependent on Him, and no one is independent. So we should take pity and love all, leave off adventurous fights and killings and be always Patient. " The Lord (God) is the Protector of all " So better to follow " Love All - serve All " & " Help ever - Hurt never " " Oh Sainath, we do not know how to redeem your obligations, therefore, we prostrate ourselves before you. Bless us poor helpless fellows, henceforth, let your holy lotus feet be our sole refuge. Many thoughts & ideas troubles us in waking & dream states,so turn away our minds from them to your bhajan and services and bless us " Baba is every where just feel him and keep on saying `Om Sai Ram' to whom so ever you meet. OM SAI SRI SAI JAI JAI SAI!!! Let us pray at the lotus feet of Bhagwan Baba who is the incarnation of all gods and protector of all, to show mercy on us, and increase our devotion towards him Let us pray Shri Sai to give us the intellect and wisdom to make tomorrow's world a happier place to stay with unity by following his principle of " Shraddha " and " Saburi " Jai Sai Ram Swamy Mahadevan Bow to Shri Sai-Peace be to all Baba Bless you ever!!!
