Guest guest
Dear Ivan, Namaskar, yes Rudrani is the female aspect of Rudra. Some people consider them as tiny seeds from 1mm to 1.5 mm which are found with Rudrakasha flowers when they start blooming and then drop off. Some people wear a mala of these Rudrani seeds round their necks. Mukhis of these seeds are not clear or distinct. Their color is orangish. It is believed that they are called rudrani because they came from rudraksha flowers. You are right there are no scriptural references about Rudrani so would say its a modern way for certain sellers to make their product interesting to people who don't know. Recently I've found in several newsgroups some prescriptions for chanting Devi's mantras with rudrani-mala. Someone said that rudrani bead is " the female form of rudraksha " and that rudrani was created by Sri Devi in the same way as Lord Shiva created rudraksha. I don't find any reference about rudrani beads and also I don't find such item/product/bead/mala at Rudra Centre's website. May I ask you for some (available) information? Thank you very much in advance. > > > > Yours sincerely, > > Ivan > > > > ---------------------------- > > AUM namaH shivAya shivAya namaH AUM >
