Late Prof Katsuri describe, on shivaratri day And Swami invite small group of people including Dr John Hislop.* Author* of the book " My Baba and I "They went to forest about 80 miles from Mysore. Swami went right into the forest and car stopped. Everyone got down.

 

Meanwhile Swami plucked another grass and cut it. We thought He was doing it playfully...But Swami put the smaller grass piece across the bigger one, tied them with a piece of thread and made it a cross.

 

Swami then asked Hislop an elementary question. "What is this ?"...Hislop said Swami it is "cross" and Hislop lifted his hands expecting Swami would give it to him.Because, even a grass cross coming from Swami is valuable. Looking at him, Swami said , What I will give you ? a grass cross?"..

 

..He then blew on it. and It became a wooden cross!.!.."Take this" He said, and gave to Dr Hislop "Look here," He said, The wood is from the same wood which used to make the cross on which Christ was crucified!...The expression on His face is the same as when He died on the cross. This is the correct representation of the Christ on the cross"... Prof Katsuri said I don't know what Hislop felt, but all felt, being in a different world.It happened so spontaneously and so graciously. Dr Hislop took that cross and later he took the cross home to America.

 

There Dr Hislop invited some friends , and they all want to see this cross.and some people said, "We want to see the expression of Christ,s face , which Swami said is the same as when He was on the cross". A cameraman made enlarged photos of different sections of Christ,s body, the face, the arms, legs and so on, and put them together. They found marks of perspiration on the tortured body,Sweat on the face with froth at the edges of the mouth.

 

They were watching this photo when there was a big storm, and a huge wind shattered all the windows of the house...There was a loud thunder out of a clear blue sky!...They wondered,...Hislop brought the bible and said" Let us see what happened when Christ was on the cross"...It was exactly the same, storm and thunder out of a clear sky. I, Pray that all who read this , will be able to taste the same divine nector to swim in the same overflow of spiritual Ganga that others and Prof Katsuri experienced on that day, in the presence of Premasvarupa Bhagavan Sri Sathys sai Baba.
