Faith

During the scorching heat of summer, people thought of the likelihood of the pleasure of rain. They felt the days of May longer than they were. June came, but not with rain. Clouds appeared in the sky, but they went away without blessing the people. Everyone looked at the sky with expectations and prayedto God for His blessings.

In this area, there was a priest who prayed days and nights for the relief of mankind, but it was not to be. At last he decided to hold a community prayer. He circulated the notice all over the village about it. The people arrived at the fixed time and place. Among the people there was a small girl who surprisedeveryone else. She had brought an umbrella with her, when there seemed to be no need of it. When she was asked the reason, her innocent reply was: "I'llneed it to protect myself from rain while going back home. Haven't we gathered here to pray to God for rain?"

Most people pray almost everyday to God. But, Do we have such faith in God as this small girl had in her prayer?
