Guest guest
Tuesday May 6th apart from Easwaramma Day is also the starting day of the Telugu Vaishakha Month and people start their holy dip in the holy rivers in Andhra pradesh and else where. Vaishakha Masa is an eternal source of righteous specialities. This is the month where all the way through man can get a pious shine by his activities such as various poojas, rituals and divine contributions. Some where in the earlier time of Kali-Yuga on Vaishakha Shukla Dashami (The tenth day of a month in the full moon side) the four faced God Brahma along with all the deities performed the holy marriage of the Supreme Lord Sri Venkateswara and universally splendid Goddess Padmavati. Also all the religious centres starting from Tirumala celebrate this event by conducting the most auspicious Srinivasa Kalyanam in this month which will bring enormous favours. The entire month of Vaishakha is considered sacred, so special prayers are held on all its days in various monasteries. On Buddha Purnima, every sect of Buddhism in India observes some distinctive rituals. In the monasteries of Sikkim, the lamas are engaged in recitations of the scriptures from early morning lamps in front of the statue of the Buddha. The temple of Kedarnath, up in the Himalayas gets covered by snow in winter and is accessible only six months a year. When the temple shuts down in the month of Kartik, an oil lamp is lit inside. The lingam is shifted to Ukhimath lower in the valley, where it is worshipped till the month of Vaishakha. In Vaishakha when the temple doors are opened, the oil lamp is still lit! There are many more auspicious days during Vaishakha Masam which on getting information I will mail later. Om Sai Ram Meet people who discuss and share your passions. Join them now.
