Best Wishes to all our Sai Brothers and Sisters on this Most Auspicious Ugadi Day. Every Festival is an occasion to rejoice and relive Swami's Divine Leela's, It is also a Day to endeavour to further work in spreading Our Lord's Divine Mission and Spread His Divine Glory.

It is believed that Lord Brahma started creation on - Chaitra Suddha Padhyami or the Ugadi day. Also the Great Mathematician Bhaskaracharya's calculations proclaimed the Ugadi day from the sunrise on as the beginning of the new year, new month and new day.

Ugadi marks the beginning of Telugu New year. This year is called SARVADHARI.

It is mentioned in the Puranas that Lord Brahma created the earth, days, nights, dates, weeks, fortnights, months, seasons and years to count the Time on this Ugadi day.

It is also said that Ugadi is also the day on which Lord Sri Krishna gave up His mortal body in a sacred place of pilgrimage called Prabhasa Near Dwaraka which marks the commencement of Kaliyuga in which we are living now.

On this day, it is the practice to eat what is called 'Ugadi pacchadi' This is made from neem flowers/leaves which tastes bitterness, This chutney has ingredients with different tastes. The inner significance this preparation is to indicate that Life is a Mixture of Good and Bad, Pleasure and Pain, Joy and Sorrow and all of them have to be treated alike . All Experiences have to be treated with Equanimity.

Let us all celebrate this most important festival which is the first day of The Telugu New year called SARVADHARI Samvatsaraadi.
