Man's

conduct is based on his thoughts. Thoughts are based on desires.

Desires depend on the company that one keeps. The company of noble

people gives rise to noble thoughts. The mind by nature is pure, but it

gets polluted by association with evil qualities. Purification of the

mind is therefore the main spiritual practice that one has to

undertake. Repent wholeheartedly for the mistakes that have been

committed. This penance will purify your mind and make it sacred.
