On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Sri

Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Curepipe, I thank you all for your presence at our

dominical Thursday Satsang. I also thank the President, Brother Premnath

Ramashir who has been extremely nice to call upon me to address you today.

 

I have chosen a very fitting and appropriate

topic for my talk and it is:

 

MIRACLE AND TRANSFORMATION

 

Why is this topic most fitting and appropriate?

Well, for those who were not present here on the 23rd November and also for

those who are not aware, I feel verily blessed to be the one to announce to you

that we were blessed with the Divine Darshan of Bhagawan Sri Shirdi Sai Baba on

the auspicious occasion of the 82nd celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's

birthday at our centre. Darshan means 'the holy presence… the divine presence

of God… just sit back and feel it…God is present here with us…'

 

BABA has said "there is only one God and He is

omnipresent. He has no favourite place or special group of devotees. Call! He

manifests. He answers. He blesses." Baba is here, there, everywhere. In Curepipe,

in Port- Louis, in America, in

Alaska….everywhere…In

all places at one time. As you are surely aware Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and Sri

Sathya Sai Baba are One and the same Bhagawan. When many had the moon darshan

of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba in Mumbai,

India, in October

this year, many others had simultaneously the darshan of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in

other parts of the world and I am, with all modesty, among the fortunate ones.

 

Baba also says 'Blessed are the pure in heart,

for they shall see God. The entire kingdom, every square inch belongs to the

monarch, but He will sit only on the spot which is clean. All hearts are mine

but I dwell only in the pure heart'. Aren't we blessed to realise that Baba

dwells in our heart and that He is sitting here….with us…not only in

Curepipe…not only in Mauritius but in all over the world

 

In reality, miracles are acts of god which the

human mind cannot grasp or explain. One can doubt a 'materialisation' and many

have questioned the authenticity of different objects materialised by Bhagawan

Baba. Some cynics have qualified these material miracles as 'magic tricks'. As

yet, no one can challenge or elucidate the miraculous apparitions of Baba – the

only bona fide explanation is 'BABA is GOD!'TO DOUBT THIS TRUTH IS TO DENY GOD.

 

Not one, but two of our youth, Keshav and

Shivesh, have captured the miraculous apparition with their camera. How could

there be a trick? - The photographers and the cameras being different but, the

pictures are the same.

 

It suffices here that I remind you all, Sairam,

of the prophesy of Bhagawan Baba in His Divine discourse at the closing

ceremony of the World Youth Conference at Prasanti Nilayam in July this year:-

 

"I will manifest in front of you. You will be

able to see me in physical form if you concentrate with a pure heart. I will

also talk to you. Many speakers (referring to speakers at the ceremony) said

they saw me many times; they said 'Swami talked to me the other day!'

Strengthen this thought and everyone will have this experience. All devotees

are good. There is devotion but you are not on the correct path. You don't know

what true devotion is. True devotion is truth and truth is GOD."

 

This prophecy of Bhagawan Baba has become true

and we are all witnessing this truth.

 

Now what do we do? What does Bhagawan Baba

expect of us? - Yesterday, we decided to replace the flower decoration of the

guddi—is it the transformation which Baba expects of us? - No! By

'transformation' Baba does not mean 'outer transformation; Baba does not expect

us now to wear white outfits and japa mala the whole day. Baba wants us to

become better human beings; the inner, not outer self should be enriched.

 

As I am pressed for time, I will give you only

one example of a transformed being. Balbir Kaur, the mother of the Maharani of

Jind was diagnosed with stomach cancer at the age of 50. She was given only one

night to live by the CA surgeon who operated on her. At that time, a non

believer, she held on to the picture of Bhagawan Baba which a devotee had given

to her, praying for a miracle. During the night, her condition worsened

dramatically but, at the break of day, she was alive and recovering.

 

Baba had graced her with a new lease of life

for twenty- five years; coupled with this, she went through an unequal inner

transformation. She spent the rest of her life inexorably supervising the

Mahila Wing at Prasanti Nilayam. Together with lady volunteers, she physically

helped to construct the Sarva Dharma Stupa in the precincts of the ashram.

 

This is the type of inner transformation which

Baba expects of us…
