Guest guest
Never mind others' mind " - Part 6 Meditation is to be watchful of one's own mind So " Never mind others' mind " Mind your own business, thats the best way to lead a very good happy and peaceful life to all.I consider this sharing of " Never mind others' mind " of Sai's message a spititual sadhana, designed mainly only for my temperament, for my profession, for my vocation, for my avocation, if not for provocation The annihilation of the mind, this withdrawal of the mind, is possible by observing one's own thoughts. 'What a stupid thought has come to me!' 'What a puerile thought has come to me!. 'What a harmful thought has come to me!'. 'What a dangerous thought has come to me!. 'What nice thoughts are coming to me! Watch them, whether good or bad, and they will slow down initially and finally stop. Absence of thought is the annihilation of the mind. Absence of thought is withdrawal of the mind. Absence of the thought is the state that the mind has been killed. This is good because the mind is nothing but a bundle of thoughts and thoughts. " So many threads, so many threads that are closely interwoven, make a kerchief, " Baba said the other day in His Divine Discourses. " If you try to remove the threads, there is no kerchief left. The threads are the thoughts. The threads are the desires. When they stopped, the kerchief of the mind is lost for ever " This is Meditation. The process of meditation is to watch one's own mind, to be mindful, and to slow down the thoughts process until finally the thoughts withdraw, so that the mind becomes passive, inactive. Then you are not the mind any longer. Then you become the witness. You are the witness. This mike is the witness. I may speak sense or nonsense or no sense or senselessly. This mike is only a witness, that's all. It does not clap. It does not smile. It does not cry. It just witness. Therefore, meditation is a state of mind. Meditation culminates, meditation reaches its goal, and meditation realises its purposes, where I understand that I am the witness. Lord Sri Krishna Said in the Bhagawat Gita " Give your mind to Me, be devoted to Me, worship Me and bow to Me. Doing so, you will come to Me alone, I truly promise you, for you are exceptionally dear to Me " Though it is there--mind thinks about sai_krishna only and awaits for HIS grace but does not know the time of Lord's Grace and it gets impatient so many times--may Sai hears the pain of the mind as only Sai's Compassion and the experience of Sai Divinity can give charm to the soul as soul knows very well what our 'Sai Compassion' is!! Here we have to see what mind is? The eye wants to see all the beautiful things in the world and pressures you to take it there. The tongue craves for tasty dishes. The ears want to hear melodious music. The nose wants to enjoy the fragrance. Who can satisfy the desires of all these senses? If we submit ourselves to these senses indiscriminately, they will put us to a lot of trouble in ever so many ways. First of all, we must find a way by which the senses can be controlled. We must bring them under our control and not the other way around. Only a person who can do this can be called courageous. Winning the Love of God is the most valuable thing in life. This Love of God will endow one with that wisdom which is the basis for inner peace. Everyone should endeavour to have an understanding of the true nature of Divinity. Of course, in the beginning, it will not be possible to grasp the phenomenon of the unmanifest Absolute. Initially, it will be best to picture God with form, then step by step, try to enshrine the divine energy within oneself. Even so, success in this effort will only be attained through diligently cleansing one’s Chitta (intellect) through service to humanity. What is Mind? The desiring mind in man sets limits on everything - whether it is something that he already has or something that he wants to possess. But the aspiring heart in man deals with the infinite - with things that are already infinite or things that eventually will be infinite. When someone lives primarily in the mind or in the desire-world, he is enchained by the limitations of his mind. When the same person enters into the world of the aspiration, that means he wants to liberate himself from the world of limitations. Vast expansion of mind the aspirant can have for a few minutes when he is in a very high, deep meditation. Only the realized soul can enter into this vast expansion of mind and stay there indefinitely. In the mind there is form, there are limits; but when we speak of the vast expanse, it is something beyond the domain of the mind. It is a vast expanse of Light, consciousness, peace, and bliss. When we are meditating, we always try to go beyond the mind. When we want to expand our consciousness, our physical reality, we have to enter into the soul. But when we come back from the highest level of consciousness, we try to understand and express the state we were in with the help of the mind. That is because the mind right now is the highest product of human life. But because the mind is limited, it can never understand and express the infinite, the Unlimited. Then the next step is How to Concentrate? Here we have to see what concentration is? What is Concentration? Concentration is the open secret of focusing all one's attention on a particular object or person in order to enter into and have one's identification with that object or person. The final stage of concentration is to discover and reveal the hidden ultimate Truth in the object of concentration. What concentration can do in our day-to- day life is unimaginable. Concentration depends on the individual. Some people find it easier to look at the flame of a candle and concentrate, while others find it easier to look at a beautiful flower. Still others prefer to look at the rising sun and concentrate. So if the individual gets a kind of inner joy when concentrating on a particular object, he should concentrate on that object in order to achieve his goal. Concentration can be done at any moment, at any place, in any position; it need not be done only while sitting. When the inner being compels us to concentrate, we concentrate. There is no hard and fast rule that one has to concentrate only while standing or while seated in the lotus position. When the inner being inspires us, we aspire, and this aspiration can be expressed either in the form of concentration or meditation. Here we have to see what worry is? What is Worry? We should not worry. We should have implicit faith in Baba, in our Inner Pilot and our spiritual Master. We have to feel that not only does Baba know what is best for us, but He will do what is best for us. We worry because we do not know what is going to happen to us tomorrow, or even the next minute. We feel that if we do not do something for ourselves, then who is going to do it? But if we can feel that there is someone who thinks of us infinitely more than we think of ourselves, and if we can consciously offer our responsibility to Him, saying, " You be responsible. Eternal Father, Eternal Mother, You be responsible for what I do and say and grow into, " then our past, our present and our future become His problem. As long as we try to be responsible for our own life, we will be miserable. We will not be able to properly utilize even two minutes out of every twenty-four hours we have. When we can feel that we are Baba's conscious instruments and He is the Doer, then we will not worry about our destiny; we will not be afraid of our destiny, for we will know and feel that it is in the all-loving Hands of Baba, who will do everything in us, through us and for us. Let us consciously offer our very existence - what we have and what we are - to Baba. What we have is aspiration to grow into the very image of Baba, into infinite peace, Light and bliss. And what we are right now is just ignorance, the ignorance-sea. If we can offer our aspiration-cry and our ignorance-sea to Baba, then our problem is solved. We should not and we need not ever worry about destiny. On the strength of our surrender, we become inseparably one with Sai's cosmic will. Baba Said.... " Eating that lovely bread I am heartily contended and I am still belching. The dog which you saw before meals and to which you gave the piece of bread, is one with me, so also other creatures (cats, pigs, flies, crows etc.) are one with me. I am roaming in their forms " . " For a greedy man there is no peace, neither contentment, nor certainty (Steadiness). If there be even a little trace of greed in mind, all the Sadhanas are of no avail " Human suffering is not a sign of God's anger with mankind. It is a sign, rather, of men's ignorance of the Law. The Law is forever infallible in its workings. " Oh Sainath, we do not know how to redeem your obligations, therefore, we prostrate ourselves before you. Bless us poor helpless fellows, henceforth, let your holy lotus feet be our sole refuge. Many thoughts & ideas troubles us in waking & dream states,so turn away our minds from them to your bhajan and services and bless us " Baba is every where just feel him and keep on saying `OM SAI RAM' to whom so ever you meet. OM SAI SRI SAI JAI JAI SAI!!! Let us pray at the lotus feet of Bhagwan Baba who is the incarnation of all gods and protector of all, to show mercy on us, and increase our devotion towards him Let us pray Shri Sai to give us the intellect and wisdom to make tomorrow's world a happier place to stay with one family unity by the following HIS principle of " Shraddha " and " Saburi " Jai Sai Ram Swamy Mahadevan Bow to Shri Sai-Peace be to all Baba Bless you ever!!!
