Guest guest
The attachment to property and position causes sorrow and unhappiness. To experience enduring happiness, these feelings of ‘I and mine’ must go. When everything appears to be going well, the ego gets inflated as a result of one’s achievements and acquisitions. One should realise that one is only a temporary beneficiary of what one possesses; one has no permanent title to any of them. Similarly, one should regard power or position as a moral assignment, and carry out the duties relating to it. Only when all actions are done in such a spirit of moral imperative, can one experience genuine happiness and satisfaction.
