Guest guest
I fully agree with Sh.Mahadevanji. It is also Saibaba's preachings, 1.Hands that help are holier than lips that pray. 2.When you help others,it reaches me. And also i came across a story in one of Saibaba books, when Sai did not accept Dakshina from a social worker ,quoting pt2. however this should be not be misunderstood by readers that prayers are not important ,i have attempted to set the context below as i understand , and pls do correct me if wrong. When we pray for others or crave for Lord from bottom of heart , it is a form of meditation that throws the collective energies of those praying to the Lord, and the Lord in turn acts like a transmitter (for our purpose of understanding) radiating it back to people in need . This is also why at times, many of us feel nice when we pray to Lord for our welfare .The Lord(Universal Conciousness) has disbursed some positive radiation (from the pool of accumulated energies) to us at His discretion which does the healing of mind, body n spirit. But at same time praying all the time is overdoing one form of mediation. it has to be balanced with selfless service which is a higher form of meditation in most of cases. Sacred teachings should be imparted to the students and they should be encouraged in the service of the society. Only then can there be peace in the world. It is not enough if you merely pray "May all the beings in all the worlds be happy." You should serve the world; you should serve all. You should develop the spirit of selfless service.
