19. The Burden of Your Grace

 

The one who has experienced

The grace of Shri Sai Nath,

Needs no fear

He can ramble into this wide world

Like a crazy elephant,

Feel smothered at times

But ultimately

Return to his own self

Under the benign protection

Of His Master

The Great Saint of Shirdi

 

Fear not O’man!

Surrender yourself

And march ahead

You shall certainly reach

The lofty heights of Joy and Divinity

Sai will take you to.

 

Let your surrender be perfect

Sublimity will kiss your feet

You need only have

Faith, absolute faith, unsagging faith

And the Lord of the Universe – your Sai

Who is within you, outside you

And all around you

Shall assume full burden

Of your care and well being

 

20. Sai’s Grace

 

Sai,

Let the waves of your grace,

Life me up from my feet

And throw me into the ‘ocean of bliss’

The shore should not even be visible

Lest I endeavour to swim ashore

And the ‘Parmanand’ of your grace

Be lost to me.
