New Year Prayer

 

 

 

This is a Prayer written by Swami Himself more than four decades ago and given to Prof. Kasturi on New Year's Day, 1960 I FIRMLY BELIEVE... I firmly believe there is none kinder than You,to shower Grace on me.Tell me, is this not the reason whyI am at Your Lotus Feet? I firmly believe You will respond quick when I do pray and plead.Tell me, is this the reason whyI am crying aloud for You? I firmly believe You are ever beside meto guide my steps aright.Tell me, is this not the reason whyI am Yours thro' day and night. I firmly believe You can never say 'No'Whatever I ask from You.Tell me, is this the reason whyI long for a glance from You? What have You designed for me this time?Why this dire delay to offer boons? However long You make me wait and wailI will not leave, I'll be standing stillUntil Your loving eyes do turn on me.

Oración de Año Nuevo

 

Biografía de KASTURI (devoto que mas tiempo estuvo junto a Baba) Kasturi cuenta, que cuando Baba tenía 34 años le escribió una carta por correo a él (a pesar de que Kasturi vivía en el mismo ashram). Baba el 1 de enero de 1960 escribió de puño y letra la siguiente oración.

 

"Yo creo firmemente..."

"Creo firmemente que no hay nadie más bondadoso que Tú para derramar gracia sobre mí.

Dime SEÑOR: ¿no es esta la razón por la cual estoy a Tus pies de loto?

Creo firmemente que vas a responder cuando rezo y suplico.

Dime SEÑOR: ¿ no es esta la razón por la que estoy clamando a viva voz por TI ?

Creo firmemente que Tú estás siempre junto a mí para guiar rectamente mis pasos.

Dime SEÑOR: ¿no es esta la razón por la cual soy tuyo día y noche?

Creo firmemente que jamás puedes decir "no", sin importar lo que te pida.Dime Señor, no es esta , la razón por la que anhelo una mirada tuya?SEÑOR, ¿por qué esta demora en otorgar Tus dones?Aunque sea mucho el tiempo que me hagas esperar y llorar, no te dejaré. Me quedaré tranquilo aquí hasta que Tus amorosos ojos se vuelvan hacia mí."
