Gayatri Mantra is a very powerful mantra. By doing the Japas you are

erasing your past karmas,. I remember my mum saying that during the

time the eclipse begins till the time it's over, you do 'anushtan'

meaning u take a vessel containg water and placing your japa mala

inside and reciting Gayatri Mantra, you can do as many as you can.

It's either 1, 3, 5, 9 etc. Once the eclipse is over, you have a

bath, wear clean clothes and sprinkle the water in every room of your

house. It says it purifies your house, everyone living in it and

restores peace and hapiness and takes away all bad things from

happening and also restores good health. At the moment I am eamiling

u from work, so don't have the gayatri mantra book with it's meaning,

but you can always get one from an indian bookshop e..g leics, wembley

ets. I can always post you a copy if u can forward me yr address.

Again baba said in one of his discourses that Gayatri Mantra should be

chanted in a right way. I had got a cd of Baba chanting the gayatri

mantra and it sounds so beautiful.

 

I hope this information is useful for you. Perhaps another devotee

might be able to explain in more details.

Sairam ! Your recitation is doing wonders, first what happens is your

negative samskaras/etc..will get burnt up by the recitation, once you

attain that purity than the real bliss un you will manifest. So

continute this chanting also chant thrice a day the 108 names of

Bhagawan sri sathya sai Baba and with pure selfless love do some

charity to needy.

 

Your progress is very much there and you will very shortly see the

bliss springing up in you.

any sadhana japa,meditation etc should be done without keeping in mind

the benifits u r going to get. its not a bussiness deal.

 

these are the tools used to purify our inner mind and it happens

without to our knowledge,

 

u just have to do it without any feeling of doing it by U.

 

AGAIN, U NEED TO DO IT TILL SUCH QUESTIONS STOPS COMPLETELY BOTHERING U.

Dear dear Ranjan,

 

U do seem to be feeling rather low, what is the problem? Why do u feel

confused? About what? Of course Baba must be hearing you and he maybe

trying to say something to u as well but because u seem to be feeling

so helpless getting nowhere....so u do not hear him. Can u open up a

bit more, please to me?
