Even accomadations are avilable outside the mandhir (Private) - but it is good to stay inside the mandhir to feel the vibration of our lord SAI. All the memebrs of your team should have valid passports and also passport size photographs with you. The office will be open at 7 am and the accomodation will be available.. Guest guest Posted October 19, 2008 Report Share Posted October 19, 2008 as soon as you reach the ashram, please proceed to the overseas accommodation office (i think the room no. is N 8 or N 9, in anycase, if you ednquire any seva dal in the asram, they will guide you to the place without any difficulty).once you show your papers that you are from overseas, they will arrange and allot you accommodation without any difficulty.the problem wil only arise if you are reaching there in the midst of a festive season (e.g. Swami,s birthday, christmas, maha sivaratri etc) when accommodation may be already booked by persons who have checked in earlier.as far as i know, asram accommodation is not reserved in advance. you have to take chance only after you reach there and show your papers to them.there are in any case, a number of hotels outside the asram where you can book in advance.whenever we want to go there in festive season, then to be on the safe side, we normally book a hotel outisde the asram in advance. (for this you have to ring the hotel up or email them in advance). once you arrive at the asram, go to the asram and find out whether asram ccommodtion is then available. if positive , then cancel the hotel reservation (you may have to pay one day,s rent to the hotel as penalty). in case ashram accommodation is not available, then continue in the hotel till ashram accommodation is allotted.in case you need the number / address of any hotel in puttaparthi, let me know and i will send a couple of names where i normally book in the above manner. i dont know whether your enquiry includes taxi particulars from bangalore airport to puttaparthi. if so let me know.by Swami,s grace, our family normally goes for Swami,s darshan to puttaparthi once a year in Feb.
