Dearest Parveena

Who said everything is going to perfect my dear? Remember what happened to Kunthi and her five husbands...they even ready to game her!! what happened when Duryothna was pulling her sari.... When she first called for help from Krishna while she was still trying to hide her self from humility, Krishna did not come to help her. however Krishna came so quickly when she put her both arms in the air asking for help!!!

I don't have children nor I have a very powerful career although I have all the qualifications in the world? I have nothing and I don't have nothing to offer to anybody either...somehow I know deep down there is something for me from Swami.. come on girl take the humiliation with your whole heart and smile at those who undermines you because all those criticism go to Baba himself... Make those criticisms to a mental garland and offer to baba..

Be brave and have a faith!!!

If you need to talk to someone pls give me a shout

Sai Ram and we will pray for you

Dear praveena,

Donot loose heart. Take the decision without having any element of self interest in the name of Bhagawan. In fact you are the instrument through which Bhagawan is ruling all events. For success it is Bhagawan to be credited for failures please bow down to Bhagawan for future divine guidane so that you do minimum unitentional mistakes. I consider everything to be Bhagawans act . When you take evrything like this you will be happy all through.

Sairam,

During my education I have read many theories on decision making in public admm/management.But none of them are explaining me why all the rationally taken decisions and perfect planning are bouncing back as big flops.I am facing crisis either in carrier or in family after losing my baby. Why all the scientifically and rationally taken decisions and plans are failing.I am a balavikas student from my childhood and I am always in sai namasmaran. Some times I take decisions putting the chits of best alternatives before sai and take it as blessed decisions. This is criticised by my husband and family members. Can any one suggest how to make decisions in life which we feel are blessed by bhagwan.Elders of sai path please guide .

PrarabdhSoul - A soul has to take on a body made up of fivetatwas to come to this earth. It is said that soul hasto take birth to learn and to experience each andevery aspect of human emotion without forgetting itsoriginal state i.e, purity, love and bliss. It is through this human life that a soul can finallymerge with the holy divine Paramatma from which it wasseparated millions of years ago. In every birth, thesoul strives to reach perfection so that it can getenlightened and become aware of the truth aboutoneness of the universe i.e., ALL IS ONE. All soulsare a tiny part of that Supreme Divine Power therebyimplying that all souls have that tiny spark ofSupreme Spirit within. However, after taking humanbirth, in ignorance, the soul cannot recall itsoriginal state, gets entangled in earthly enjoymentsand forgets its mission of self realization andsubsequently the God realization. Karma - In its human form the soul cannot sit idle. Itcreates various karmas in the process of living, becomes attached to materialism over and abovespiritualism. Whether the karma is `good' or `bad', itis immaterial. The universal law takes note of all theactions a soul performs to carry out its earthlyexistence. It is said that all such karmas accumulateand become Sanchit Karma. It is said that all our karmas are recorded and storedin our Akashic records. A soul cannot merge with thespirit unless it has worked out the cause and effectof its Karma because universal law functionsflawlessly and impartially. When the soul is rebornagain, it brings with it some portion out of thisSanchit karma to work out in the present birth. Thisportion of karma is called Prarabdh. It is said thatseventy five percent life of a soul is preordained anda soul has no say in it. Soul has to bear it whetherit brings worldly happiness or worldly sadness. Forthe balance twenty five percent of life the soul canuse its God given freewill which creates KriyamanKarma. These kriyaman karma also result inaccumulating more Sanchit karma.Prarabdh - Outcome of Prarabdh are those happenings inthe souls earthly life, which happen without any orlittle effort. Soul feels happy when it gainsmaterialistic comforts, pleasures and position in lifebut it gets totally baffled when it loses the verysame possessions unexpectedly, without any explainablereason. Soul does not realize that this is the fruitor effect of the cause of its Prarabdh in thislifetime. For example, we find a good human beingdoing all the best for the world but yet sufferingfrom a deadly disease, a selfish person gettingsuccess in almost any activity it undertakes. All thisis happening due to Prarabdh of these souls Imagine how it could be when different souls cometogether in a lifetime and form a family. Each soulhas its own Prarabdh and its own individual journey. But universal law is perfect. It arranges the soulgroups so effectively that one soul's Prarabdh matcheswith the Prarabdh of other souls. Thus souls living ina family life not only perform their respectiveearthly duties but also work out their Prarabdhtogether. This way they keep coming back on earth again andagain, learn their lessons and help each other to workout their balance karmas till their last earthlydesires has been fulfilled. The soul discards itshuman body once its Prarabdh of current lifetime isworked out completely. However, Maya plays such astrong role that it takes ages for an ignorant soul towork out all its karma and realize that the SupremeDivine Power is nowhere else but within. How to work out Karma - The biggest question is howcan the effect of Karmas be effaced? Man's actions orkarmas are the manifestations of his thoughts. Karmais any action, thought, feeling, emotion generated bymind of a Man. The mind, by projecting thoughts tosense-organs, enjoys pleasures. It, more or less, identifies itself with these thoughts and pleasures. At that time, it does not think of anything else.Actually, the earthly thoughts and impulses should beconverted into the zeal for securing internal blissand happiness after attaining a perfect balancebetween materialism and spiritualism. In simple terms, soul must perform duties as required to be performedin its earthly lifetime with a sense of detachmenti.e, without feeling sad about losses and withoutfeeling elated about gains. But then it is easier saidthan done.Meditation - Meditation is one way for the soul toconnect to the higher self. In Sai Satcharita, readershave been advised to look inwards. The soul shouldfind a quiet place, close eyes and meditate. Thepurpose is to withdraw all the five senses inwards, make them inactive because these senses have beengiven to the soul to see, hear, taste, touch and enjoythe external world only. The practice of meditation insolitude consists in reverting and raising theinternal spark of the soul, to try to reach the higherself. It is said that the seat of that spark is at midpointbehind the eyes called Third Eye or KrishnaConsciousness. When such a condition begins tosupervene to some extent, as a result of performingthe meditation practices, the working of Karmas, bothinternally and externally, is automatically enfeebled. On getting some bliss and joy internally, and onwitnessing the love, grace and mercy of the SupremeBeing, the meditator's mind, is of itself, detachedfrom the world and its pleasures. The pleasures of theworld become insipid. The situation is the same. However its effect on the meditator's mind changes. The soul finds peace in all the situations it findsitself in - whether good or bad - it does not matterany more. After this, the longing for progress in meditation, and higher and higher bliss, goes on increasing.Worldly desires are curtailed.. The soul always givespriority to the will, grace and mercy of the SupremeBeing in whatever he does. It subordinates its desiresto the will of the Supreme Being. Thus the soul isentangled in Kriyaman Karmas very little or not atall. This cuts short the chain of its Karmas. Prarabdh Karmas, which are unfolding in this very lifewill be very much mitigated by the grace and mercy ofthe Divine Spirit. This way the soul is able towithdraw from the eyes, it goes on getting detachedfrom the body and the world. In the wakeful state, theseat of the spirit is behind the eyes. It is here thatpains and pleasures are felt and Karmas are performed. Therefore, as the spark of soul is withdrawn from herewith the help of spiritual exercises, pains andpleasures cease to be felt. In this way, the effect ofPrarabdh Karmas is lightened. As to the Sanchit Karmas, that are stored in Akashicrecords (mind-sky) in the form of seed-impressions.They will fructify in a future life. As the soulpenetrates these records in its ascent to higherregions, the Sanchit Karmas appear in the form ofthoughts and impulses. They come into play for a shortwhile only and are obliterated and finally the Sanchitkarma are also cleared. If one has the grace of Sadguru, it will not take longfor a soul to achieve the desired results. In SaiSatcharita, where Sai Baba has translated the Sanskritshloka for Nanasaheb, this thing has been brought outvery beautifully. At another place it has beenbeautifully explained how with Guru's grace, the soulrealizes that the meditator and the object ofmeditation all are ONE.Bhakti - As per Sai Satcharita, progressing on Bhaktimarg is the easiest way to get free from the Karmas. The mind cannot sit idle but if we give it some wisethought, say, chanting `Sai Sai' always, get rid offeeling of doership and surrender all our actions, thoughts and ourselves to our Sadguru Sainath, we havetaken our first step towards working out our karmafast. Sai Baba will work internally and remind thesoul of its purpose of taking human birth. This doesnot mean that the soul will not have to work out thePrarabdh. Sai Baba will not come in the functioning of theuniversal law but Baba will make the soul strongenough that it will not feel the effect of Prarabdh,i.e, soul will not be ecstatic when it gains and willnot feel depressed when it suffers. Sadguru Sainathwill grace us with strength necessary to work out ourPrarabdh easily. This is what we mean when we say thatSadguru works out the karma of devotees. But then arewe willing to work for ourselves and absolve ourselvesof our Prarabdh the way Baba has advised us.

Dear Parrveenaji: I have been reading your note and responses of others. In my opinion, the all encompassing Sanskrit work prarabdha has been interpreted in a negative sense only. Prarabdha has both positive and negative connotation. There is a saying "Man proposes and God disposes". Even this simple innocuous phrase blames God for negative consequences. We in our Aham take credit for our luck, smartness, brilliance, powerfulness for positive outcomes. One has to learn to be a Sthitha prajna, learn equanimity, unelated at success, undistressed at failure as Bhagawan preaches Arjuna. Our prarabdha is an agglomeration of our past actions, attitudes, responses in a continuum of our journey through several janmas.Oftentimes, in our disappointment, disgust, anger at the turnout of events not to our satisfaction, we frown

at our creator, even swear of nis non-existence. In the process, we are hurting ourselves further. As we look at the world around us and its peopls, we need to take solace looking at others under similar or worse situations. Continue to have steadfast faith in Bhagawan who is the ultimate arbiter with a complete appreciation of our journey through several janmas. Nimitta Mathram bhava Savya Sachin. I wonder if I have contributed any comfort in this. Our prayers to Swami to bless you.
