Om Sai Ram,

When I read this, tears came to my eyes as I could think of the things in my life where Baba took care and is taking care of me and my family, including my 93 year old mother that lives in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A., 1500 miles away from me (I live in Florida, U.S.A.). My mother, though not an actual Baba devotee, has heard me tell many leela stories and about the great things He has done for the people in India (free schools, free hospitals and water project), and she likes Him (how could anyone not?).

My mother has met a wonderful friend, an Indian lady from Guyana, who is my age, whose name is Barbara (like me) and is a vegetarian (like me). Barbara takes care of an elderly lady in my mother's neighborhood, Brooklyn, New York, as her job. Barbara lives in another part of the city (Queens) and has to travel two hours each way, each day to get to her job. My mother met her during her daily walks and after a number of these encounters, my mom invited her to sit awhile with her on her porch. They became friends and now Barbara stops at my mother's house everyday after work in the evening and they share a healthy vegetarian meal and good company. Barbara gets a nice respite from a long day of work and a good meal with a nice lady before she has to make her long journey home. My

mother gets good company and a healthy meal and some help from her friend. My mother looks forward to Barbara's arrival each day. I have met Barbara and just adore her. I told my mother that Barbara is a "gift from God; a blessing of His Grace". My mother tells me she always asks Barbara (in appreciation and amazement), "Where did you come from?" and Barbara answers, "God sent me" (and she didn't know that is what I tell my mother!), I know Baba arranged their meeting and has arranged for this wonderful, sweet person, to be my mother's friend and helper. Thank You, Baba!

P.S. I am a Baba devotee, but I have been raised Jewish. My mother was raised Mohammedan but conerted to Judaism when she married my father, and Barbara is Hindi (and shares my beliefs in reincarnation, etc.). I love this diversity and I feel like it is a little of Prashanti Nilayam in Brooklyn, NY!

Om Sai Ram and Blessings, All!
