CHAPTER 43 The

company you keep is the person you become. Seek the company of those in

constant contemplation of the Lord, and do not miss any opportunity

that will keep you in constant touch with Him. You must learn to live

with the divine virtues, constantly developing the strengths of

righteousness, bravely fighting the lures of weaknesses, and slowly,

giving up the reins of your failing control with the sweetness of

surrender and the wisdom of your love and His love that are truly

inseparable.Let

your prayers not be mere words or just an act of your routine, but

instead, let them take the form of your day ahead, so that you can rise

into tomorrow with more God that lived in your "yesterday" and with

even more of Him being part of you in the "new today". Do not separate

your spiritual sadhanas from your day to day worldly activities. In

fact, your sadhanas must be used in this world as your guide and as

your own expectations of you to transform. The world will begin to

shrink in your eyes, only when spiritual practices become the life that

you must lead. Just like any game has its rules, life, too, must be

lived by the rules of God, in order to enjoy and win it. Learn the

simple rules of love and truth, and life will become the play of dharma

and the game of peace. The judgments of the mind and the control of

your egos are the forfeits that will keep you out from playing this

game. Your own conscience is the referee that will blow the whistle

when you will intend to cheat - Yes, cheat your own "self" of God! Do

not waste even a minute to rest without God, for the truth lies in the

"self" resting only in God! God, Himself, has taken the form of

different Avatars, in different ages, to teach you the reason of birth

and the importance of life. Let Their examples become your guidelines

to live, let Their sacrifices in saving humanity show your gratitude by

being saved yourselves, work hard and strive towards loving, only to

prove the truth in Their words, and respond with your service of true

love for Their true love for you. God, My dears, only speaks words of

truth and wisdom; He performs the tasks only with love, He radiates

only a picture of peace and eternal bliss, He will walk only in the

right; You, too, must mimic Him and learn to perfect yourselves. Walk
