Guest guest
There is a great riddle that needs solution. This riddle is debated in many spiritual forums and the Upanishads and scriptures contain clear answer to this riddle. What is the riddle? " Are we mere puppets in the hand of God or we make progress with our own efforts and 'free will'. I have read the beautiful explanation given by Swami to John Hislop when the same question was raised by Hislop on behalf of the devotees. Swami said sweetly that there is no such thing as " Free will " and every thing is God's will. Swami again asked " whether the individual is free to exert his free will. When we deeply contemplate on Swami's question, we can understand that " none is free in this world " . All are bound by the karmic effects. They are bound by time, space and causation " . In fact, all are carried away forcibly in the flood of life. When we are caught in the flood, who will save us except the one who is on the firm ground. We can safely conclude that the " One who is not caught in the flood of samsar is really Bagawan. Only He can pull us out of the flood. One who can exert His Free Will is really Bagawan who is FREE totally from all the cause and affects and karmapal. His birth is " Divyam " whereas we mortals are born due to karmic balance. Hence none of us really possess " Free Will " since we were never Free. Sairam, Saisaran.
