Guest guest
No two individuals are alike in shape and character. The mental make up of each individual is different. The creation itself is variety. Then, how Vedanta teaches the Unity of Atma. The answer to this is given in scriptures and texts of spirituality. The Sun, though common to the entire creation is reflected in pots of various shapes and sizes as separate suns. Our bodies are like those pots containing water. Also when the pot is broken, the sky in the pot becomes one with the sky. The apparent division of sky by the pot is no more. We all feel that we are separate from others. Swami refutes this and says " All are ONE, Be alike to every one. He also says that the " Miserable prison individuality' is the cause of all troubles and turmoils. When we analyze this, we can understand that it is one's own fault to consider oneself as separate from others due to " Ego " and " body consciousness " . The body is born and dies whereas the " Self has no birth or death and the Self is Immortal. Hence, we should associate ourselves with the SELF and not with the perishable body. Sairam, Saisaran.
