Guest guest
There is none who seeks pain. We sometimes curse our fate for the troubles we undergo. But Swami asks us to " Welcome suffering " . Why? It is during those period, God is very near to us caring for us. These adversaries educate us and we gain wisdom. That is why, Mother Kunti prayed to the Lord to grant her troubles so that she will remember Him constantly. When we are free from troubles, we tend to become lethargic in our spiritual activities. We may even slide down in the ladder of spiritual uplift. Now let us compare a worldly situation. We see changes in seasons regularly. After scorching summer, pleasant season awaits. During the summer seasons, the lands become dry and parched. The earth awaits anxiously the downpour of rain. When rain starts, all operations like tilling etc commences. The surface become slushy and with proper treatment, it is ready to take the seeds in. Likewise, when we are perturbed and suffering, our heart become worthy to embrace wisdom. This alternating Joy and sorrow makes man tread the path of spirituality with discrimination and detachment. Hence welcome tests. They toughen you. Sairam, Saisaran.
