Guest guest
laxee61 laxee61 ------------- SAMASTHA LOKA SUGINO BHAVANTHU ----------------- Treat your mind as a little boy. Bring up this boy lovingly so that it becomes wiser day by day. Caress it in to good ways making it aware that objects which are seen are products of one's illusion. Remove all its fears and foibles. Focus its attention on the Ultimate Goal only. Never deal forcibly with the mind. It will yield only to tenderness and patient handling. Correct its waywardness by inculcating the attitude of renunciation.- Baba Thought for the day as written at Prasanthi Nilayam today10th July 2009------- What is the true hallmark of an educated person? Swami lovingly explains it to us today. Sai Inspires - 10th July 2009 You must realize that the divine current that flows and functions in every living being is the One Universal Entity. When you desire to enter the Mansion of God, you are confronted by two closed doors: The desire to praise yourself and the desire to defame others. The doors are bolted by envy and there is also the huge lock of egoism preventing entry. So if you are earnest, you have to resort to the key of love and open the lock. Then remove the bolt and the doors are wide open. The education you receive must train you to be successful in this difficult operation. - Divine Discourse, Dec 25, 1976. Desire is an insubstantial shadow; turn desire inward towards spiritual treasure and it will yield substantial results. - Baba ---------- PURPOSE OF LIFE --------- PRASHANTHI NEWS - 09-07-09 This afternoon our Lord Sai blessed the All Africa Sai adult choir with the opportunity to perform at His Lotus feet. It was a memorable evening as our Sweet Lord sailed into the mandir and showered smiles and loving looks on the devotees as He circled the mandir.Dr. Victor Kanu introduced the choir and the supporters of the choir. The choir director was a young African man, sorry I don't have his name, who is the youngest person to be knighted by the Roman Catholic Church. The beautiful voices of the choir rang harmoniously and mellifluously through the mandir like cathedral bells from heavenly steeples. Swami lavished His attention and love on the choir, going inside and selecting white cloth and saris for the singers. He came down off the dais and went directly over to the young choir director, calling him to his lotus feet several times. He materialized a ring for him and also gave other gifts to the choir members including many photos and padnamaskar.Victor Kanu's wife, Genevieve was also present, Swami called her over and asked if she liked the saris he selected. Our Baba lingered sweetly interacting with the choir it well after 7 when we all took araathi and our beloved father retired to His blessed residence.-------------------------------- ----------------------------- DIVINE INSPIRATION WILL - SAI BABA Hindi Bhajan by Sri .Ramesh Muralidhara Gopala Madhura...... (COURTESY:SAI BROTHER SRI.BOMBAY SRINIVASAN) ---------- SO SAYS SAI MAHARAJ You are not born for shedding tears. Hence you should also leave this world happily. Why should you have to worry about the ephemeral things like wealth and property, which are physical, fleeting, and impermanent? Such an attitude is unbecoming of a human being. These are all gifts from God There are four concepts that you must always keep in mind: the vyakthi (the individual), samashti (society) srishti (creation) and Parameshti (God The srishti emerged out of Parameshti. From srishti came samashti, and samashti itself consists of vyakthi. Without vyakthi there can be no samashti. Hence, ultimately these are all God’s gift. Are we making any efforts to shed tears for the sake of God? No. we are worried about passing clouds, which are ephemeral. This is not the true nature of a human being --------------------- An inspiring photo of Snake dancing in front of Sai Baba. This has happened at Sarapakka Village in Khammam District at Andhra Pradesh during the Guru Poornima Pooja on 7th July. This photo and news published in yesterday's Chennai Evening Tamil Daily Newspaper "Malai Malar". (Message Courtesy :Sai Brother Sri.Sankaranarayanan - chennai.) ------------------- SAI VEDA Fame and ignominy go together. Good and evil always present side by side. Pitch-black hair surrounds a moon like face. What is the inner significance of this? The shining forth of righteous fame is intensified by the surrounding darkness of evil. ------------------ Baba Tests us Only to Prove Our Obedience Service means to abide by the divine commands and live with obedience. Whatever commands God gives us, without questioning them, one has to obediently follow them. The mundane and spiritual life of the obedient devotees will be set right by God Himself. There would be many people who have come to serve and they might serve as well. But, Baba used to gauge their depths of obedience through some simple tests too.Dikshit was an orthodox Brahmin. But, on Baba's command, he took a knife to kill a goat. "Baba! Your words are both law and binding on me". He did not think that for a good Brahmin like him, killing the goat would be an act of sin. That is unquestioning obedience. When the devotees are obedient in all earthly matters, Sai, the Compassion Incarnate, would not only fulfil all their desires but would lead them to the righteous path. Even then, the level of our spiritual progress undergoes some tests. Obedience corresponds to our faith in Baba. We get spiritual treasure in proportion to our obedience. We should not think as to why these tests are meant for. The spiritual strength is matchless. We should be deserving and need to prove our spiritual worthiness. In fact, the entire universe is moving at the will and command of that Supreme Spirit. We should abide by His words and prove our obedience. ------- BABA CLARIFIES QUE: What is the significant of giving Vibhuti, Swaami? ANS: When you seek to learn swimming, you will have to enter the water and struggle with the strokes. When Bhasma (vibhuti) is given, doubt haunts some people whether Swami is wishing that the recipient should be a Saivite! It is a symbol of the indestructible basic substance which every being is. All things become ash; but ash remains ash, however much you may burn it. It is also a sign of renunciation, of sacrifice and of Jnana, which burns all Karma - consequently into ineffective ash. It is a sign of Ishwara and I apply it on your brow, to remind you that you too are Divine. It is a valuable 'Upadesa' about your identity. It also reminds you that the body is liable any moment to be reduced into a handful of ash. Ash is a lesson in detachment and renunciation ----------- ---------
