Guest guest
Dear Santosh, Life after retirment can be either hectic or boring , my suggestion would be is to watch for a week what are his daily activities, and then you should plan accordingly witout him knowing, i.e to keep him bussy depends which part of the world you are living, If in India so much the better cause weather is good, start his day by going for a walk, and delegate to him to go to market and get vegetables, and by the time he comes home its almost lunch hour, if he has a habit of taking a nap in the afternoon, its ok, then in the evening go to libary read news paper , or tuesdays go to ganesh temple, and on saturdays go to hanumanjis temple so by the time hes back its dinner time. and at night im sure theres lots of good Indian series.. theses are basically some ideas. My main idea is to keep him bussy (in India there are lots of corner mechanics , he can make some friends and probably share his years of experience with younger generation) You get the basic idea, as for other medical problems doctors are always there. Good Luck and hope , my 2 cents will help you, also Mr. Narsimhas suggestion are good. KIND REGARDS, PANKAJ JOSHI. --- On Thu, 1/21/10, ssan_bs <ssan_bs wrote: ssan_bs <ssan_bsRBSC : Regarding my father's health Date: Thursday, January 21, 2010, 2:21 AM Hello All,I need your suggestion about my father. My father's name is Sanjeeva Rao and his age is 66 years. He used to work as a bus mechanic and retired 8.5 years back. His service is around 30 years. He did not engaged himself in any other work after retirement and he is idle from then. Now my father is suffering with multiple health problems. His psychological state is not normal, suffering from constipation, urine problem, skin has become rough and most of the body has became itchy, he is not eating properly now-a-days, no sufficient sleep and more over his behavior is abnormal. Doctor says this anxiety is normal at this age and it grows as age grows. But my father is too upset with his condition and he is not able to understand why he has become like this. We are trying to cure his problems by showing to several doctors but not getting any good relief. Please suggest us, how to give my father a better life.Santosh
