Guest guest
Namaste Indira, Sumeru means 'mountain'. Technically speaking, it means the 109th bead in a mala. We chant mantras for 108 times using japa mala. when we reach the last 108 bead, we stop. Thus the sumeru indicates we should not cross or touch the 109th bead in a jaap mala. Yes knots can be strung with the beads or not at all. It depends whether you would like the knots to be strung on your mala. Best wishes. , cheepra lohi wrote: > > Namaste Naasimhaeji, > > Gone thru Sphatik diamond-cut mala produt range. Wish to get clarified flwg: > > 1. What is Sumeru ? >  > 2. Knots will come in between the beads? >  > Aum Nama Shivaya > > Indira L. > > > > > ________________________________ > narasimhaye <no_reply > > > Fri, January 1, 2010 3:14:59 PM > RBSC : Sphatik diamond-cut mala 10mm beads > >  > Sphatik diamond-cut mala 10mm beads > > http://www.rudraksh a-ratna.com/ dispProduct. php?prodId= 6030 >
