Namaste Jatin,

Puranas do not state that rudraksha wearers should avoid non-veg food. Hence its

personal decision whether to eat non-veg or not. Either way does not matter.

Its not a sin to eat non-veg while wearing rudraksha. However if the person

strongly feels he/she needs to take off the mala before eating, they may do so

by putting the beads in their pocket, briefcase or handbag.

Please tell your friend not to worry. Its not bad or wrong what he had done.

For simple cleansing, offer camphor, dhoop, oil lamp and chant Om Namah Shivaya,

then put mala on again.

Lunch. As he does eat Non Veg food but as he was wearing Rudraksha he did try

avoiding it however this did not last long. He did consume the Non-Veg food and

at the same time could not remove his mala that he was wearing.
