Guest guest
Hi Narasimhaye,Just wanted to thank everyone who gave me advice on where to find modaka . I went to an Indian area on Friday with my friend from Nepal and bought Ladoo and Modaka. Can you please tell me the procedure to offer these sweets to Lord Ganesh?I have been waking up early in order to chant my mantras and hour before sunshine in Manchester, UK. I will be going to London for the weekend to stay at a friend's. My question is can I still wake up to say the mantras at her house? Also, I normally offer incense to my rudrakasha beads and yantras every morning while saying the mantra. Does it matter if for a couple of days I am unable to offer incense to the mala and my yantras?Thank you in advanceAngela
Guest guest
Hi Angela, Good that you bought ladoos and modakas for Ganeshji. He will be chuffed/pleased when you offer them to Him. Lay upon the altar a little glass of milk, a tiny bowl of honey, some fruit and flowers especially hibiscus (its His favourite flower) - these are just basic offerings to Ganeshji and will suffice. Talk to Him and tell Him how much you love Him. Also mention thanks for anything He'd blessed you with in recent times. Next take a piece of CHEESE (the sweeter the better if you manage to find a sweet variety at a delicatessen or fine foods shop - place the cheese on a small plate for offering to Mushika (Ganesh's mouse which serves Him as His vehicle. Tell Mushika how you admire his speediness in getting Ganeshji through nooks and cranies and tell him your thanks too.) ....................................................................................................... To Derick, ......................................................................................... So sorry my friend, Please don't mind me. I've always forgotten to mention "CHEESE" and "MUSHIKA". Also forgot to mention MODAKAS AND LADOOS I think. At times I truly have a bad memory. ............................................................................................ Yes you can still say the mantra at your friend's house. Its also fine that you are not able to offer incense to your yantras and malas while being away from home.
