Guest guest
Dear Jatin, Nice to see you again. You are right that we all go through ups and downs in life due to karmas, planetary positions and other influences. You are also right about siddhis can help a person achieve a smooth life and the ability to help others too. 1. Siddhis are like spiritual powers. 2. There are numerous types of siddhis. 3. It takes a long time to acquire them. Some can take a few hundred years, some take a few years, months; it all depends on past life karmas and the bond you may have with your Ishdevata or with your guruji. They are the ones who determine when and where you will be ready for attaining siddhis. When the right time comes, they will guide you. However for those people who already possess poornava samskaras where they have meditated and devoted to attaining certain siddhis, they may bring their siddhis into this life. 4. There are a number of ways to achieve siddhis, e.g. through prayers devoted to your Ishdevata, get guidance from your guruji, a yogi, swami, etc. Or through dedicated Mantra Recitation wherein you select a certain mantra that you know, that you are familiar to, and make up your mind to perform recitation at the same hour each day. Mantra Recitation is also known as 'Mantra Yoga' or can be termed 'Mantra Sadhana' if the spiritual aspirant is able to focus on one mantra for a minimum of 90 days and doing 108 rounds each day. Its suggested that the benefits of reciting mantra before sunrise are good. Around 4.30am to 5.30am or 4am to 5am (depends on where you live) is great as its known as Brahma Muhurta (Hour of God). Its said that this spiritual hour is the quietest time on earth, that the heavens open and prayers are heard by god very clearly. 5. Rudraksha Japa malas and Personal Malas such as Siddh Akarshaya Mala, Mala consisting of 1 to 14 mukhis, 1 to 19 mukhis or even just one bead that is regularly worn, can help. Its essential that a Japa Mala (meditation mala) remains a mala used for japa only. It should be used for the one and same mantra. If you need to recite a different mantra, its best to acquire another japa mala. For all the other bead combinations, they can be worn during mantra performance.
