Guest guest
Hare Krishna, Thanks for your mail. Please accept my best wishes, all glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga, all glories to all the devotees of the Lord. The goldsmith stone is popularly called as Shaligram stone which normally a gold smith used to use for checking the purity of the gold few years back. Now they don't use any more because now the latest machines have come and they can get the purity more accurately. I tried rubbing Nepalese beads of very high quality from 3 Mukhi till 14 Mukhi but no golden impressions have appeared. So I think this is not a very authentic method to identify the geuinty of the Rudraksha beads. I want to also reiterate that the gold content in Rudraksha (refer to book of Rudraksha by our Researcher and Scholar Shri K N Seetha titled “ The power of Rudraksha “) is very very less around 0.0003 mg and for a Shaligram stone to take out that in terms of golden impression is impossible. I hope this will help, Rajiv Krishna Dasa
